I think what the Queen meant by "one year" is that once Wilhelm is 18 he'll be expected to function on his own without a failsafe, whether as Crown Prince or as King. Not necessarily a prognosis for her.

Judging by the new 18 year old real life Danish Crown Prince who Wille's appearance and style are modeled after, after a Crown Prince turns 18 they are expected to take over more duties by themselves and sometimes step in for their reigning parent at certain events/trips if the reigning monarch can't make it for some reason, health being a big one.

I agree with your thoughts on the intervention. I understand everyone processes differently, and her friends have nothing but good intentions. But I need to grieve, I need to wallow, I need to process. If people who were supposed to be my friends tried to give me an intervention like that I would be so angry.

He's not taking over in a year, she means he has to be able to, if something happens to her (just like in the UK. It's just that once he's a legal adult he's eligible to take over.

The Swedish word for grounded is utegångsförbud, which means you're not allowed to go outside - like a house arrest. So it's not strange Simon has friends over or invites Wille to sleep over at his place.

Harry: "I don`t know why y´all thought you were going to be able to get away with this". Because they ARE able to get away with this. In reality they are never really held accountable for anything. In reality it always goes like it went with the settlement that August gave to Wilhelm and Simon. These initiations really do take place and I never heard anyting happen to the people, for sure no school closing down.

Kristina (the Queen) is definitely suffering a stress related illness. As stressful as this whole situation has been for Wilhelm, it has likely been worse for Kristina, who (it is implied) has not had the space to mourn Erik, has had to manage (on a PR level, certainly hasn't been doing it interpersonally) the troubles of her younger child, and maintain the image of the monarchy; though I note this doesn't excuse her poor performance as a mother to Wilhelm, the difficulty of having August as the spare and the perpetrator of the act/crime against Wilhelm puts her in an incredibly difficult position. She, just like Wilhelm, is forced to make sacrifices for the crown, and those choices seem to have finally worn her down.

Yes, definitely thought it was mental health related as well! I love that they show that Wille's mom is struggling from anxiety just like him. I just hate that she's such a terrible mom to him during the time he needed her the most.

28:57 Classism is a thing that is talked about and discussed through dialogue this season. I'm very happy Lisa made a point to talk about this topic as these kids live in a different world because they come from money. Also, you'll come to hate that you feel bad for August as the season goes on. That's all I'm going to say.

I keep thinking about not only the ethically and morally reprehensible actions that August took, but about how many severe laws he broke. (I can only speak as someone with knowledge of US laws and who is not a legal expert!) But that would at least be considered: recording, possession of, and distribution of cp; blackmail; intimidation and threatening behavior; assault and battery (not saying the others aren't guilty of that too, but this is about August); conspiracy to cover up a crime; using drugs not prescribed to you; dealing drugs; bribery; sexual a$sault; and possibly distribution of revenge p*rn (though I'm not entirely sure what the specifics are on that, and I'm sure it would be different based on state). And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. Again, please remember that I am speaking only about US laws and am not a legal expert or lawyer!

The actors do a great job, but the writers make me not even want Simon and Wilhelm to be together. They don’t see each others perspective AT ALL. And Simon has made zero effort to understand Wilhelm’s difficulties as a public figure, he just assume because of the wealth everything is easy.

Well it would really help if Wilhelm or the Queen or the PR department would sit down with Simon and his mother and EXPLAIN to them what it actually means to be in the public eye and to be involved with the monarchy. That would really help him understand, I guess?! If this would be real life they would have neglected their jobs by not doing that. That whole bit is quite unrealistic in this series because I think I heard that in real life for example Kate Middleton had a sit down like that when she started dating Prince William.
