You will be a wonderful Elder. I am a fairly recent convert and I know we need worthy Elders such as yourself. You may have struggled, but your struggles will help you understand your investigators, to put yourself in their shoes, much more than a young Elder who has never had any problems in life. Good luck to you on your mission, Elder Lundgreen.

Hi Elder Lundgreen! My family grew up in the Cupertino ward/Stevens Creek area. You will be a blessing in this area. What a humble and wonderful sacrifice you are making. You will touch many people's lives....It is a very busy and money centered area with lots of opinions. I hope you serve in that ward. My father is elderly but has miraculously survived a very challeging operation and never misses Sacrament meeting. Very soon you will be part of the MTC and then off to CA. You will be Blessed`

You're asking for inspirational stories. . .you've certainly started the ball rolling with a very faithful response yourself. . .instead of being angry at God himself, you're submitting to the life you have. I like that. We did choose to come down here, and you're out to make the most of yours. Like Elder Worthlin said in his last conference talk, "Come what may and LOVE IT" thanks for being a good example of that! God bless you, boy!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Remember 1 Nephi 3:7, for it is TRUE!!! I served in the Arizona Tempe Mission under President Lloyd P. George from Orem, Utah. It was shared with me that when he was a young boy and into his manhood, he stuttered SO bad that he couldn't even say his own name. When I met him, there was not one single sign of that. Of course years had passed, but apparently while on his mission, he had a blessing and was completely healed! I pray you will be a successful missionary!!!

I have been diagnosed with post concussion headaches. I loved sports and all sports through out my life. Unfortunately throughout 20 years they started adding up. Some minor some more serious. The more serious ones were towards the end of high school and thats when the headaches started getting bad. I am in gods hands now and he will provide a way for me to serve and that is all that matters to me.

I live in Santa Cruz, part of the san jose mission boundaries!! It would be cool to meet & officially welcome you to the area as a new missionary. I just may be a little bias but I believe this is the best area ever, there is so much diversity & love for the gospel here it's uncontrollable. Of course you probably already know this but the San Jose Mission is one of the few area's that doesn't do door-to-door mission work, so you'll have lots of fun with alternative preaching methods!

Congrats, Elder! Regarding chronic headaches, I have had the same thing, which puzzled me and my doctors. But I discovered that from prolonged use of pain medicine which I was using to ease the headaches, it created "rebound headaches." If you have the same thing, there is a way out. Search WebMD for "rebound headaches". Best of luck!!

We also hold lots of tension in our lower back and lumbar region...so that's why I said try that...and also you can do that with your arms...up and down and to the opposite sides like hugging and letting go of a self hug...embrace and unembrace...do that several reps....opening and closing the arms....down position arms at 90 degree angles....shoulder height and then arms lifted... Yah, like the macarena...arm and back strength building....

You'll see miracles after miracles..Let me tell you this.I had this small but growing tumor in the back of my neck.It grew as days went by.Half way thru my mission I followed my companion thru bushes to one area. I got this expression to go thru a short cut.,as I did,I got stung by bees.Lots of bees, especially in the back of my neck. Days later the swollen had gone away and so was the tumor.The Savior fell on his face in the Garden, whipped during the nite with no rest and carry his cross alone

The side movements...you can do laterally (side movement without jolting anything nice and smooth softly laterally to the opposite side...you should feel the stretch to your side or hip rather...so move your leg gently 1 foot laterally to the opposite direction...about 3 inches from the floor... The next time you do a rep...do it about a foot from the floor....opposite side too for both legs...and if you can two feet from the floor....or 3 reps...at diff distances from the floor...

You sleep with an A/c home temp that is also directed to your face or feet or body...the vent I mean...and it's lower than 75 degrees....your body will ache weather or not you've had zero concussions and cold floors on tight cold tendons cause a lot of pain for no apparent reason than we're warm blooded animals. Your BP is not under control...you're over stressed and have no down time...and don't compartmentalize you time for more frecuent down time...aka cat nap or siesta.
@dboyfff11 жыл бұрын
Talk to a doctor.... Sleeping on your side...will also cause a headache...because your neck will contort all night long or for longer than what it wants... You sit for too long or stand for too long or walk too hard on the floor or step to hard on to the floor...many, many reasons.

Many headaches happen for many reasons...noise, too much stimulation, too much light, not wearing sunglasses, too much sunlight way more than 6 hours per day. Your pillow is way too high and you don't allow your neck to rest....your upper back between your scalpula is tight and so are your shoulders...drastic changes in temperature...inside vs outside...your airconditioning in your car is directed to your face or body...it should be directed to the hood or somewhere else.

Not trying to compare because it's just a different case, but I'm just curious to know how you were cleared by the mission offices, because I know that not everyone passes the medical aspects. Sleeping on your stomach will also do the same... The natural position of your neck should be apoint where your neck is relaxed and bent slightly backwards...pillows are for decor anyway...try using a flat towel instead (folded in four)..or a handtowel rolledup under your neck. The walls in your house are too bright...or maybe the opposite your not getting enough light... You like to run...you appear to be in shape...try the lazyboy bicycle..you sit back and relax and cycle, instead of runing.

Your arms are too tight and you don't do warm up exercises for your arms and shoulders...you can roll your shoulders foward and backwards...play the piano gently or the violin...that should strengthen your arms....stretch your hands and do waving and fluttering exercises with your hands and fingers...like flamenco and sevillanas... Your not stretching out your legs...by gently moving your leg to the opposite direction laterally (side kick lat.) you can do reps with that...same with other leg...

To relieve our suffering is why Jesus Christ came to earth. In a miraculous way He took upon Himself the struggles and sins of every one of us. In Him we can find strength to endure amid trials and also power to overcome sin. Bad things happen in life, and it is difficult to see the justice of God when we look at the world around us, but His promises extend beyond this life. God is a God of hope, and He really does love us.
