Well spotted! Snazzy EGR Emission Controls! You can't beat a good old-fashioned Carburettor for simplicity any day!...LOL...! Take care!...😀...😀...!

At least you got rid of some excess GARBAGE. I bought a new Yamaha Vino 125 in 2008, it came with a real PAIR system, which I removed. In 5 years I put 36,000 miles on that scooter. I would routinely ride it more than 300 miles from home. Mostly highway miles (not freeway) at full throttle. I over maintained it, and replaced the belt every 10,000 miles. Everything went fine until 34,000 miles, when the belt I replaced at 30,000 miles broke, leaving me stranded in the middle of the AZ desert. I had to wait in 110 degree heat for 2 hours for a tow truck, with no water and no shade. I replaced the belt and got it going again, but never figured out why a belt with only 4000 miles on it broke. I never trusted it after that, and sold it a couple thousand miles later. Aside from the belt, NOTHING else ever went wrong with it. I replaced it with a 2006 Vespa GT200 with only 1800 miles on it that I found on Craigslist. Got it for $2200, complete with a matching Vespa top box and windshield still in the boxes. Scooter looked like brand new. I still have it, and am closing in on 60,000 miles. It will maintain 72 mph on flat level roads at full throttle. I will not likely ever buy another new scooter, because you can no longer get Japanese or European ones with carburetors. I have never owned an EFI scooter or motorcycle, and never will. IMO, computers belong on desktops, not motor vehicles.

After removing your fake EGR did you get a slight performance upgrade? less electrical load on your engine etc etc

YES! As a matter of fact, the psychological effect was there. It certainly ran better after shedding that 1 LBS of junk! Cruising speed went from 55mph to 55.1mph :).

@@bikesandoutdoors3616 Mines doing 60 top end after replacing stock CDI, stock plug, and stock coil/wire. I weigh in at 225 so I now my body weight is bogging the bike a bit.

@@troysharp7511 That's pretty good, because mine completely stock is going 60-62 on perfect flat with my 120lb weight. But I also have oversized trunk box, and windshield. Not sure how that affects the drag.

@@troysharp7511 That's funny. My old Tao Tao 50cc also had the REAL EGR system.
