I already commented, but after reading through these comments it occurred to me that might you might need to hear this. This video was perfect, and as complete as it needed to be during this season of your families life. It’s OK to delete comments that don’t serve you and your family or the joyful atmosphere you were trying to set. You don’t owe anybody an explanation regarding private details of your family’s life. I honestly think people are coming from a good place when they question why things either are or are not a certain way. You don’t owe anything to anybody. Not one single thing. Just a reminder, because I’m sure background noise can sometimes drown out some of the positives and that would be a real shame. Ok, I’m stepping off my soapbox now. :)

This was so lovely! My dads retirement was unwanted and unceremonious. This makes me wish we had thought to celebrate as a family and let him know how important he was to us even if he had a rough ending to his career. I lost my sweet uncle in September. He was like a second father to me and got the pleasure to work alongside him for two years in his pizza shop he owned and operated. This man worked 7 days a week from 10 am to 9-10 pm pm.. he wanted to retire soon but sadly didn’t get the chance to. Praying that he is finally resting in peace with our lord and savior. Hard season to get through especially when he left a child with special needs, wife and daughter. 💛

Wow, this made me way more emotional than I thought it would. My heart is very sensitive to dads since mine passed away 5 years ago. I'll never get to see him retire so this was a very emotional moment for me to see and oh how much he has accomplished in his life... seeing all the kiddos hug your dad was priceless!!! Bonnie, I couldn’t love this video more! Your family is simply the best! I love that you all made a special effort to honor your father this way….I lost my Dad almost 2 years ago to a very short but terrible battle with cancer. ( only 4 months from diagnosis till he died. We buried him 4 days before Christmas) when I am feeling sad about him not being here, I watch your family…your parents are just so extra special.
