You got some nice ones. I decided to give it a try and got my first two today. Together, they weighed in at 2.275 pounds and the fabrics were okay but really nothing especiallyexciting. It was fun opening them. I don't know if I'll order again, though I do love a mystery.😊

Love the second bag! Actually, you have winners in both.:) I use Art Gallery solids, and agree, they have a silkier feel than Moda. But in my experience, they both wash up the same, very nice. I think you’ll be happy using it!

I read that Art Gallery fabric is actually more tightly wovan. They have a very soft hand because they are considered a poplin, but the high thread count and tight weave actually make them very durable. I've used them in clothing and haven't had any issues thus far with them holding up. Also Ruby Star society has a very similar hand to Art Gallery. I haven't read any articles regarding the composition of them but I have used those in both clothing and quilts and they hold up very well in my experience.

Art gallery fabrics have almost zero bias so you need to be an accurate sewist to work with them. They are stunning and each of their designers had their own aesthetic so one art gallery fabric is not the same as the other. They make fat quarter and layer cake. I wish they made charm packs.

I agree! I think what’s weirder is that FQS carries that red plaid one. It’s definitely not a fabric used for quilting based on the texture. I’m not sure what else it could be used for.

Awesome!! I have the 770QE with the embroidery module and I love it! It goes through thick layers like butter whereas with the Brother I was using, I’d have to use a makeshift step for it to go through multiple layers. You don’t know what you’re missing until you have a good machine and I’m sure that’s true for a lot of the top brands. The 570 is like the baby sister to my machine so I’m probably more partial to it. The 475 is more of a base model but definitely has everything you need to sew lots of different projects. I’m not familiar with the 580 but I don’t think you can go wrong. I will say, get the machine you want up front. That way, you’ll be less likely to trade later.

Lol! My black cat’s facial hair is about that short so I stared at that fabric for longer than I’d like to admit wondering how my cat got into the bag before I realized it was synthetic. 😂
