Question if I may. If I was looking at two 1 ton trucks. One gas and one diesel. And I’m going to be snow plowing, would you go for the gas or diesel? I’m thinking gas because of all the SCR DOC DPF DEF diesel emissions stud and the soot burn off. And all the idling and low RPMs a diesel engine would experience with snow plowing. Would you agree? Or disagree? Any other valid points I’m not thinking off? Thank you. I own a 6.7L power stroke which is hard working with towing and such. Already had a DPF filter replaced under warranty, would’ve been $10k bill for labor and parts.

I would always pick a diesel over gas. Much better fuel milage and the torque difference when plowing is very noticeable. All I'd say is make sure you have a warranty with a newer diesel.
