Surprised by Moroccan Grocery Store Prices! Carrefour Morocco Decathalon

Mor Acro visits a Moroccan Grocery Store and finds just about everything. While it can never replace the Souk, Carrefour had surprising deals on local Morocco avocados. We enjoy shopping in Morocco at both local markets and large chain grocery stores such as Carrefour. While in the neighbourhood we also bought surf and camping equipment at the Decathalon of Agadir. LC Waikiki seemed to have overpriced clothes and Justin Bieber music playing. Not exactly a Mor Acro kind of seen, better to hear the sounds of nature and bustle of a Souk market. We continue to find a balance between oval hanout shopping, traditional Moroccan markets, and the imported goods of modern grocery stores such as Carrefour and Marjana. Thanks for watching Mor Acro.

That was a good grocery store to buy all your weekly foods. I love the cheese section with so many varieties of brands. Did you guys see the wine section? Cheese, crackers, and wine...fabulous combination.

Marjane and carrefour are more expensive than proximity trade. So use them just for things not found in proximity trade.

Hi ! Guys, the butter and Camembert for example are SUPER cheap by Canadian standards. The shrimp are cheap too, but I wonder where they’re from. Are they black tiger? The Haagen Dazs is nuts ! We pay half that price here (though that’s still expensive, and usually wait till it goes on sale)…lol. But I understand it’s imported. Thank you for taking us with you always. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you, but I own and operate (along with my business partner Karim) 2 tour companies. He’s based out of Marrakech and I’m presently in Montreal. I’d love to send you the links one day. Just for fun. I think Rumi is super clever and inquisitive. Her expressions show she’s intrigued and curious. Maybe an “old soul”…I had one of those with my son. Enjoy your time ! Monica
