Join us in this episode for a taste of New Mexico hiking ... and a taste of New Mexico food! :) We didn't really know what to expect, but let's just say that during our short stay in the state, New Mexico lived up to its nickname, Land of Enchantment. We had never heard of the Organ Mountains before, but they were really cool ... and we got to explore both sides of the range. We hope you enjoy the views of the jagged peaks as much as we did. As always, stick around for our usual JUST FOR FUN bloopers and silliness at the end. Let's go!
We welcome your positive, encouraging comments and appreciate you liking and sharing our videos, which helps us grow our channel. Thank you in advance for your support in what we are doing!

Thanks for the video, I appreciate your mission and that it motivated us. After watching it we decided we have got to go back and checkout the restaurant and consider a trail or two. Heads up, restaurant was closed for kitchen renovation 4/10 to 4/15/23. We did both trails, no snow now of course. Pine Tree Trail was challenging for us, but we carried on. Definitely important for folks to account for elevation, temperature and lots of water and nourishment. Soledad Canyon is unclear from the map on the board in the parking lot (Bar Canyon on the board) and no clue at the start, the wide trail is a beeline, the one on the board is more single track, but pleasant. Use downloaded trail apps especially for Pine Tree Trail to account for distance left and keep you going! Go and do!

So glad that we inspired you to get out and hike. This area was really beautiful. We always use the AllTrails app when we are hiking so that we can make sure we stay on the trail.

The canyons looked really cool. Plus the jagged peaks of the mountains seem to surround you at every turn. Great video. God is everything, everywhere, he is ours. “Canyons wide, oceans deep, Can’t contain all your love for me”.

We have just been amazed at the diversity of the beauty in the U.S. The mountains here in New Mexico are beautiful in a different way than the other mountains we have seen. The jagged peaks really do sort of surround you on this trail. Just spectacular! Thanks for watching and commenting, Dan. We appreciate you!

Thank you for this video! I’m taking a solo vacation there for my birthday in November. Going to hike in Las Cruces, around Truth or Consequences, celebrate in El Paso and going to see the Carlsbad caves. I’m staying in Las Cruces and this video definitely helped me figure out what to add to my list while there ❤️

Wow, really blown away by the views in this video. My top 5: 1. Soledad canyon- canyons we’re so cool. 2. Chips, salsa and queso- My favorite foods! 3. Pine Tree trail- Mountain View’s we’re so beautiful in every direction. 4. Icy trails looked a little treacherous. Glad you both did not get hurt. 5. Really loved the music choice for this video.

The last time I was in the East side of the organ mountains I saw a missile launch from white sands missile range (I was stationed there and they didn’t let me know that there was gonna be a missile launch so I got very scared)

I know a rule of thumb is, if you can, bring someone along with you for all hike trails. However, would you guys say this trail is safe to follow from beginning to end? Because I've been wanting to do this trail alone and I've done a couple of other ones alone.
@MissionAmerica
@MissionAmerica Жыл бұрын
We don't ever want to advise anyone to hike alone, but both of these trails were pretty busy if you do decide to go by yourself.They were also well-marked so there would be little chance of getting lost.
