I have noticed you're into drinking coffee. I would suggest a cheaper alternative but good quality brewed coffee. Buy a French coffee press and ground coffee (most likely both are available in Lee Plaza). It might cost you more than the instant coffee but it tastes way better and healthier. There's a coffee grower in negros too, check out Baslay coffee , somewhere in the mountains of Dauin, if I remember it right. Cheers!

Every morning at school, there is a flag ceremony. We sing the national anthem and other songs at this time. Students have to get up early every day, which is a pain, but they get out of class at 4 or 5 pm, which is nice. There will be a lot of school celebrations and big events. There will also be more people at the Christmas party and the prom. I hope that lyn will make a video blog about her school life. ~~

The Opening Program brings back memories. I studied in a different catholic school, in a different city (but still has St. Louis in it as well). It was a school run by nuns and we were all girls back then. But, I digress. It was a good place to learn, even though we weren't allowed to join competitions outside the school, we still learned a lot.

during my time, in high school, we have at least 30 to 40 students per section (or per classroom). it is also our batch where a third section was opened because usually it was only up to two sections. opening ceremony is alwas like that, starting with a Doxology or an Opening Prayer, National Anthem and an Opening Remarks.

In korea the kids would go to school at 8 and elementary kids finish school at 2pm. In the phil kids go to school at 7 and finish at 5pm

The thing with the Philippines is we sing in almost everything: every morning at school, at school festivities includes proms, graduation, teachers day etc. Even in our home, during birthdays all Filipinos does karaoke even thought some were out of tune. Filipinos always sings whenever a gathering occurs.
