Greetings! I'm watching your videos for the very first time, and have goose bumps by just watching you bring back this "almost dead" orchid to life, by nurturing it with your TLC hands and patience. Now a very NEW baby is born thanks to your commitment. You have very good "Green Thumbs". Giving thanks for showing us how to do this step by step. And the magic of ground Cinnamon. Hate to be a realist, but no way that orchid pushed out two full sized leaves and a new leaf in 2 months. That’s an 8 or 10 inch pot, to put the leaves in scale, so that means a sickly orchid would be growing leaves at a rate of 4-5 inches a month. It does look like the same plant, but that’s like 10 months of “normal” growing rate. Most orchids only put out one or two leaves a year

You are truly the”ORCHID WHISPERER “! You really need to publish how to books on orchids. Including an “Orchids for Dummies” manual. I have been one of those people who have admired them every time I see them for sale when I go to the grocery store and though I have bought them as a hostess or birthday gift for others have avoided buying them for myself for fear of killing them. I know too many people who feel as I do and would benefit greatly from an instruction book or manual from you! I have a question , I have seen you use moss as well as cedar chips for a planting mixture, so what is the difference and which is better!

"Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 Growing orchids isn’t as hard as you think, and I’m so glad to hear you’ll try growing them for yourself. As for your question, both moss and cedar chips have their unique properties. Moss retains moisture very well and is commonly used for orchids that require high humidity. However, moss can get moldy if not properly cared for. Cedar chips provide better drainage and are ideal for orchids that don’t like too much moisture around their roots. Depending on the type of orchid you're caring for, you can choose one or the other. If your orchid needs a humid environment, moss is a good choice. If you're growing orchids that need quick drainage, cedar chips are a better fit."

I just tried to save my orchid, I soaked it in the cinnamon water and put it in a pot, hopefully it lives. Thank you for your video. My orchid is only a piece of root about 1 inch in size, I cut off the decaying leaf and roots. It looks like the leaves got severely sunburnt

I have two orchids that I repotted in sphagnum moss about two months ago. I couldn’t see their roots because the moss covered them. When the leafs started laying down I took the moss away and all my roots died due to root rot because the moss was so wet in the center. I’m heartbroken. The leaves are still green so I decided to cut away all the dead and dying roots. Each had one tiny little green root so I repotted them both in rePotme orchid mix. I didn’t give them any water. I thought since they were already drenched maybe it would be best to let them dry a little. Hopefully they’ll make it which I highly doubt. Great video though!

Hola, que belleza como la revivió, no 😂sabía lo de la canela, tengo orquídeas se me han muerto muchas, que lastima que no conocía esas técnicas para resucitarla Canela, vela, agua, y cortar toda la planta vieja y dejar tronquito,, Las que tengo tienen hojas y sol pero no floresen, que les puedo poner para que florescan, gracias por su ayuda, muy bonito el vivero, tiene orquídeas bellas🏵️💮🍀

I have a phalaenopsis orchid that got its entire crown cut off above its previous spikes! I think it was a previously blooming orchid (as in blooming less than a week ago likely) that someone cut the stakes off prematurely to use the flowers and also cut off everything else. I am really seeking help in how to save it. The roots look very healthy aside from a couple.. there is also a plug remaining. I’m unsure what steps to take next as far as repotting goes. To save your phalaenopsis orchid, here are the steps you can take: Trim damaged parts: If you see any roots that are damaged or dry, trim them off. Keep only the healthy roots. Check the base: Since the crown has been cut off, the plant might not be able to grow from the top, but if the roots and base are healthy, there is a chance it will recover. You can place it in a cool area with indirect light to encourage growth. Care after repotting: After trimming and repotting, water lightly and maintain consistent humidity. Make sure the plant doesn’t stay too wet as phalaenopsis are sensitive to root rot. Wait for recovery: Phalaenopsis may grow back from side shoots or even produce a new plant from the base. Don’t worry if it doesn’t bloom immediately - the important thing is to let it fully recover first. Good luck with saving your orchid!

I'm trying your method too. I have some questions I want to ask. I waited without water for the first week. Then was it cinnamon water or pure water that you sprayed in the orange bottle? Secondly, are we going to water once a week for 1 month or wait for 1 month without giving water and then give water once a week? Thank you for the information❤

Thanks I have aphids on my orchid. Its been doing really well for 7 seven, then, there renovations and she was moved from place to place and now the temperature and airflow haVe changed also in the lounge room because of the renovations..so now after 2mths she has ahiphids one branch..Ill use the cinnomon and see how she goes otherwise it may be better to cut the branch off?

Hola, yo puse dos hojas que ya estaban medio amarillas, pero siguen amarillas, la puse en un pedazo verde donde ponen flores en arreglos ,los lave y los puse y los puse en aloe vera, pero siguen amarillas,eso fue hace dos días , de verdad me da tristeza no tener éxito, porque tanto mis plantas como mis peces me interesan,disculpe tanta molestia, las sigo dejando ahí o que hago, mil gracias 😢

A veces, las plantas necesitan más tiempo para recuperarse, especialmente cuando tienen problemas de salud como las hojas amarillas. Si las has puesto en gel de aloe vera, eso es excelente porque el aloe ayuda a calmar y promover la recuperación. Sin embargo, es posible que necesites un poco más de paciencia, ya que la recuperación no es inmediata. Mantén las plantas en un lugar con luz suave y evita que estén demasiado húmedas.
