I watch your videos the same way each time: You reveal the rusted horror beneath the panels, I think that it’s too far gone and feel bad that you’ve put so much effort into an unsalvageable car, then you astonish me by repairing the unrepairable. It will be better than brand new. Your videography skills are first rate, too.

Hi, thanks for the comment. I did have few weeks of total motivational break, but now I am back in garage. I have had some issues with doors, and some replanning required there. Also I have some updates with engine and gearbox, and got some new tools to the workshop. So lot of progress, but on many different fronts...so making a good episode is bit more challenging and time consuming this time. I have about 14 minutes ready from episode 25, so hopefully I am able to release it within a week or so... Thanks for the comment and stay tuned.

Wow, that first minutes of wonderful stop-motion animations really blew me away ! Thank you for entertaining us with all these efforts. Must be very time consuming. But it´s worth it. I guess your audience very much appreciates these animations. They create a certain mood, i don´t know how to describe it. For sure it´s pure art when the tools start to move their own way. I love it. Oh, and for all the metal sheet work, you just again found the perfect score to create some emotions. As always, i must admit. Your taste of music really matches with mine. Whether it´s Jazz or Shred Metal. Had to say this. Finally if i had to name anything in this episode, that leaves a little question mark to me, then it´s this: i feel there is kind of a hard break between the first minutes of animations and the second part. Somehow i miss the bridge between those parts in terms of story telling. But never mind, just sharing my feelings when i watched this episode. Unbelievable how many hours of hard work already spent for this old GT. For sure it´s gonna be among the best of all still existing ones. Do you know any totally rust free GT ? Is there a brand new one in the Opel Museum ? This report from Auto, Motor und Sport seems to show some excellent cars from the factory museum, at least the number plate gives a hint. GG stands for Gross Gerau, the region which Rüsselsheim, the home of Opel belongs. www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/oldtimer/opel-gt-opel-commodore-gs-e-und-opel-manta-gsi-der-opel-sport-bund-der-70er/
@GT1900garage8 ай бұрын
Thanks Oliver for the comment. I agree with you... there should have a kind of bridge between intro and verse. But on the other hand, the mood change from "automatic" to "manual" was done by drastic change of music... I think there are some completely rust free GTs but they have no road time what so ever...I think even bringing GT outside, will start the oxidizing process....

Man I marvel at your work . Great stop action videos But when it comes to music I guess we like what like
@GT1900garage9 ай бұрын
I appreciate that. Well in this episode I have a "mood swings", hence there is some peaks and valleys in the musical score. Generally working with this car is "approaching zen state", therefore the music usually is more ambient and moody. But sometimes I just like speed up videos to +500% and let it all out !!

As per usual your dedication to this project is awesome, as are your fabrication skills. These videos really show the horrors that lay behind the panels. On the bright side, you've past the symbolical number of the beast in the hours you've already past on this GT. Just saying 😜

You're gonna need 10 more pairs of gloves by the time this project is done! Nice progress so far!
@GT1900garage9 ай бұрын
HAH, Yes, those thin cotton gloves tend to work poorly with welding.. I already have 8 pcs of right hand gloves, left ones have evaporated 😂 Very well spotted...
@gforcekaras9 ай бұрын
@@GT1900garage I would assume leather welding gloves would be too bulky and pricey to replace. Maybe some inexpensive leather driving style gloves would better suit? Probably not as cheap or pliable as those coated work gloves.

Yes, fireproof cloves are way too bulky, but on the other hand; I kinda hate these dozens of burn marks on my left hand as well 😉

@@GT1900garage considering it’s from 1977 it’s pretty solid car A few patches on the floor, both A post one B post , front scuttle all of which I have taken of a car I broke So no fabricating also all body panels including quater panels I brought new from Toyota 20 years ago So nothing compared to yours !! Just finding time to do it all
