I take a romaine lettuce leaf and cut the vein out. Then schmear some peanut butter, then squish and spread some banana. Sprinkle with cacao or cinnamon or both. Then place date on top and wrap. It is a yummy breakfast or snack

Yum! Thank you so much, Sandy. I had a DELICIOUS salad last weekend (at a visit to the Museum of the Bible!) and one of the ingredients was chopped dates. I was happily reminded how delicious and nutritious dates are but I had really just forgotten about them. After watching this, I will definitely be buying dates! Since they are a low glycemic index, they aren't going to spike blood sugar the way desserts do, yet they're such a sweet treat and full of essential nutrients. The key is to eat in moderation, 2-3 dates a day, and to pair with some kind of healthy fat like nuts or peanut butter to also help with moderating blood sugar spikes.
