I shouldn't have shouted because if they had weapons, there was one of me and three of them. But yeah, sadly its just something ive come to terms with.

As a moroccan living in morocco i want to apologize for the disrespectful young brats that catcalled you it's pretty common with tourists especially in Marrakech (it's a pretty conservative city) if you go to cities like Rabat or Casablanca you may not experience such things cuz the people here (I'm from Rabat) are more "open" or it's just common to see women with no hijab and dressed up in not so "modest " ways (I'm a native and I dont wear head covering, actually most girls I know dont). Here is the thing the most you go to the south (of morocco) the most likely you are to experience such things because of the very conservative nature of the natives. I hope you enjoyed your trip♥️

When I was around 14 - 15 I went to Marrakech as well with my grandparents and even then I was catcalled. The women also glared at me, which made me feel even worse. Men would ask to buy me from my granddad for camels and magic carpets. And when he jokingly said 'You don't want her, she doesn't work.' One man replied 'She can work at night.' We also visited the desert at some point and took a photo with a local and me. The man slid his hand under my blouse on my back and rested it there for the whole time. I didn't react because at the time I didn't know what to do about it. It was honestly awful..

I love how they are so real and comfy, wear whatever they like to wear. They look like me at home. Not like other youtubers who try so hard with pyjamas and perfect beds.

Sophie you have to understand there are different dress codes and respectability outside western counties. It may be abit sweaty in the heat but covering up won't ruin your trip. Not everything is about Instagram pictures.
