The pricing of house in dollars is about how some in Ghana have over rated the Ghanaian economy.Their target buyer is not a typical Ghanaian who makes less than twenty thousand dollars a year.They seem to think that the people coming from Europe and America, come with a bucket full of money.That why some of them will put a price tag of $300000 on a house built on $2 roads.They are just trying it, hoping that someone with that kind of money might fall to their tricks.i said this before, if you buy a house for $300000 in Ghana, then prepare to live in it for the rest of your life and then pass it on to your children.If you buying for investment reasons,it will be hard to get your money back on this shacky grounds.

It should be in US money that way you know what you're paying for. I'm not too fond of it when it's one price then if something goes up like materials then I have to pay more... price set is better

....because if we use foreign currency to build the houses it's difficult to price them in cedis due to way the Ghana cedis keeps fluctuating on daily basis.

The inflation is crushing for Ghanaians while its a boon for people getting paid in foreign currency, especially the US dollar.

Because everything used in the country is imported and paid for in pounds/dollars ! Th currencies of African countries are sinking like a big rock thrown into the sea! As Nigerian I can tell you that it never comes back up . Back in 2005 Naira was about 80 /$1 ,today it is 700/$1 !

Haha. Yes, I've seen some people coming for you in the comments, as if you can personally change the value of the Cedi.😂 I think the dollar thing makes sense for now, but once Ghana gets through this rough patch, they ultimately do need to ban the use of foreign currency at some point.

The problem seems to be the stronger USD. It is forcing up prices of goods if you are a consuming economy. Just subscribed.

Am I missing something? Some comments are thinking that it's more expensive to pay in USD. They gave very detailed examples that the Cedi is suffering which makes it less expensive when paying in USD.
