At 14:00 with "hide in plain sight" you choose 2 instant or sorceries for the codebreaker despite having pulled most of your codebreakers. Instead, you could have choosen kumano and a land, as with Yarok, all permanants are brought back upside if they die, giving you more resilience. Plus I'd be curious to see how a face down kumano looks (just a "normal" face down card ? already transformed ? who knows !) Amazing content as always, keep it up !

God who knew the Roblox oof would fit so well with high damage, loving the sound effects for a brief moment of comedic relief! Also, do you know if there's any cost reduction for disguise spells? I don't think they count as artifacts, nor do I think there's any standard "cost x less to cast creature" spells out there.

@@Bluecho4Actually no, it wouldn't. Turning the creature face-up is a special action, and doesn't count as an activated ability. Basically, it works like foretelling a card from your hand, which is a special action as well. There's Goblin Maskmaker, which reduces the cost of turning creatures face up by 1 when it attacks, but that's pretty much it.

@@Colesonian The trick here is to blink the face down creatures. That's how Astral Slide decks were played, decades ago. But it doesn't count as putting them face up, so it would only work for playing expensive creatures on the cheap.

@@eVuLeX I can understand that. What I don't understand is how people can keep playing the same brain-dead decks that play themselves forever when they just lazily found them online to begin with. We know those decks work, it says nothing about them as a player. They might as well be rolling a dice and tell themselves"If it's 1 2 3 or 4 I win." if they can't find anything else to win at, since that's obviously all that matters. Or maybe the satisfaction comes from having the unfair advantage of running a proven meta deck to ruin the fun of others who try to be creative with their decks. That's probably what it is seeing how much of those meta decks get played in free-queue. Either way, it's just sad.

I have some questions about the wording on "Hide in Plain Sight" and "Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods". Would it be possible to hide something other than a creature with "Hide in Plain Sight" e.g. an artifact? I suppose yes, but of course only creatures could ever get turned face up. Following this thought, if that faced-down "creature"/artifact dies while Yarus is in play, would it return to the battlefield face down or even get turned up, because the requirement for Yarus' effect is just "if it's a permanent card", which would be true for an artifact?

The mana for red/white aggro decks is quite poor unless it's full of legendary creatures or humans, at which point you can run Plaza and Cavern. So the extra lifegain from Helix doesn't outweigh the drawbacks of introducing an extra color to monored. One of the reasons monored is so prevalent is that it's quite budget friendly, adding another color requires a bunch more rare dual lands. TL:DR no

Actually seeing gameplay just kills any thought I have of playing standard again. Kumano, phoenixes, feldons, swiftspears, rages, lightning strike to face, the extremely linear games against mono red with no real decision making or depth or interactivity, just you're on a clock and win or lose your decisions didn't matter and it was mostly on the coin flip of who goes first. And this deck is mostly just a shell around that deck...

Eeyup, that would work. When a face down permanent is moved to any other zone, it must be revealed. And since it being face down is a status, it loses that status and will reenter the battlefield face up. That's how Astral Slide decks were played decades ago.
