Tim - one of the best ways to teach kids at this age is to do things at the same time. So in this case, set up paper for yourself and paper for him, then show him what you're doing and he will mimic you. Much easier, though you did a great job!

What a great episode. When we went on a Disney Cruise with toddlers we requested a crib/pack n' play, a diaper genie, and a bottle warmer (for night time). We would also get some juice and milk from the breakfast buffet to keep in our room so if our boys were thirsty we had it right on hand. Being that we were coming from Canada we ordered diapers and wipes and had them delivered to the ship.

Now that’s how you do Mother’s Day! Awesome job Tim 🙂 also he doesn’t need a passport just his birth certificate. We took our daughter when she was 2-3. We put her in the small world nursery to do a drink tasting or brunch and it’s a must so you have a break for a bit. They are so wonderful with the kids. It’s a lot of fun, they have a pac n play they leave in your room we put by the couch. Probably the hardest part is the day you leave is to try and get that nap in before mustard call. She was exhausted and not a happy camper during that.

I look my son on his 1st cruse when he was 3. We did 14 nights western Caribbean, we had a fantastic time. This year shortly after he turns 9 we are booked on a UK staycation on the Disney Magic, this will keep us going until we can safely returned to WDW.

Happy Morher’s Day! The It’s a Small World nursery is good through age 3 and they still have lots of activities for the older toddlers. You can reserve up to 10 hours of nursery time in advance but you can also reserve more time on the ship. They were great with our daughter when we went last year. Enjoy!

I’ve cruised with a toddler and it’s awesome. Every meal, show, or fun thing to do is a 5-10 minute walk away from your “safe place.” Meltdown? Nap time? Over stimulated? Just go to your room! PERFECT vacation choice for young kids!!

Cruising with a toddler is so fun! Your room is always close by for a nap or a change, he can be entertained just simply walking around and exploring the boat, Disney boats have a fun splash area for littles, the waiters and waitresses are amazing with the kids and make meals out fun. Get him potty trained. We took our 2 year old on a Disney cruise and while she and we had a blast, she wasn’t able to go into the pools because she was wearing swim diapers. Small World nursery was awesome,. But if he’s potty trained you can leave him in the kids club which is free!!! And definitely get all those character meet and greet photos!

We went on a Disney cruise when our son was one and three. He is 14 now and doesn’t remember them, but we will never forget them. The first dinner is always tough, especially if you get the second seating. It is usually the end of a very long day and both times the wait staff made a makeshift crib out of napkins and chairs and he knocked out. The other thing I remember most was when we went to Palo and dropped him off at the nursery. When we returned he was sleeping in the arms of this huge dude on a rocking chair. He looked like a body builder but he was rocking our kid to sleep with so much care.

Not sure why I’m just now seeing this video but this was seriously so sweet !! Y’all are my favorite KZbin couple,have been for many years now & I could relate in so many ways,my husband & I met around the same time y’all did,& we also struggled with infertility for years before we finally had one daughter (just a year before you had Jackson) I remember crying so hard when your pregnancy was announced & praying every second for things to go as smooth as humanly possible,& now here he is ! So smart & healthy. I also didn’t realize that Jen didn’t drive,I am almost 30 & I don’t drive due to my severe anxiety. It really makes me feel like less of a failure to know someone that I idolize also doesn’t drive. Which also means that I can relate to not having any time to myself,so glad you had such a wonderful day Jen !
