I cried when Jess got excited on the plane cause she could see “Aussie Land” and then I cried when Gabe did the montage of them walking through Sydney after quarantine and seeing how genuinely happy Jess is. Probably gonna cry once or twice more before this video is over 🥺 so happy for them!

Another update: cried also when she saw her dad. (I lived away from home for like a year a couple states away so I know kind of the homesickness/joy they felt getting to see family after so long. I think that’s why I can’t stop crying 😂

Here's something to think about, what if God was protecting you by cancelling your flight, he knew that something could've gone very wrong if that flight left. Even if the delay could hurt it still was for the better. He really is looking out for y'all and he loves you two! I'm so happy for you Jess to be able to go home!

i just flew back from USA to Finland, to see my family that I hadn’t seen for a long time. I had one single stop at Amsterdam on my way back, and I had some issues too with getting the right test results and soon enough before the flight. After all that stress, I happened to miss my connection flight and had to have 24h lay over...I related so well to your stress levels in this video and this video showed me that I wasn’t the only one who experienced all this extra unfortunate hustle just because of a horrible pandemic. I moved back to Sydney from NYC in December 2020. The fire alarm thing actually happened to me twice while in quarantine. Luckily both were during the day. Everyone went onto their balconies and just stood there are we watched fire trucks racing to the building. We all knew that if we had to leave our room, we would have to do another 14 days so everyone was hanging over their balconies chatting and agreeing that they would not be leaving unless personally directed to by a fireman. Luckily both times the same thing happened with someone coming over the speakers and telling us to stay in place and ignore the alarm.
