RECIPE ✨ CARAMELiTAS Ingredients: • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted) • 3/4 cup brown sugar • 1 cup rolled oats • 1 cup flour (you can use All Purpose or a 1:1 Gluten Free alternative if you want) • 1 tsp baking soda • 1/4 tsp salt • 1 tsp vanilla • caramel sauce (in a jar or the squeeze kind) • sea salt • 3/4 cup chocolate chips (I dont measure this part but it's probably about that) Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease or line an 8x8 baking dish. 2. Combine melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth. 3. Add oats, flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla until combined. 4. Press half of your oat mixture into the bottom of the pan and cook for 10 minutes. 5. Remove pan from the oven and pour a generous drizzle of caramel all over the top to completely cover the base. Sprinkle with sea salt (If you're already using salted caramel you can skip the salt) 6. Sprinkle a layer of chocolate chips on top of that until covered (I just guess and sprinkle until it looks right - about 3/4 cup) 7. Crumble the rest of your oat mixture on top sprinkling it evenly until the caramel and chocolate chips are mostly covered. 8. Return to the oven for about 15 more minutes or until perfectly golden brown. It should be oozing! 9. This is the hardest part but it's best if you let them cool for at least 10-15 min for easier cutting and more enjoyable eating but when you're ready, plate them up with some ice cream and ENJOY!

3. Adicione a aveia, a farinha, o bicarbonato, o sal e a baunilha até incorporar. 4.

@@lindabuck2777 Maldon salt is a very flavorful salt. Yes, salts vary in flavor & intensity. They can be/are ground to different sized grains. I use superfine on popped corn. Sometimes I use vinegar salt! All salt is organic but pollution has made it's way into the mix. There are massive salt caves around the world being minded as we type away. Salt is also harvested from the oceans for us to use. It's a very interesting story. Pink salt was all the rage a few years ago. You can find it everywhere! I was given a beautiful lamp made out of a big chunk of pink salt, supposedly ionizes the air in my home. There's black lava salt & red salt that I bought in Hawaii. If there is one thing that brings people together it's food. Sadly, at a recent potluck dinner an argument over politics broke out. Anger came to a head, Friendships were damaged & lots of food was left on the table. We need to get back to sharing recipes not anger.

@@bhenderson7272oh my... That escalated quickly. I'm sorry to hear that. I recently switched back to iodized salt because I realized I was severely deficient. @bhenderson7272
@bhenderson7272 Ай бұрын
@@lindabuck2777 Good morning, the only reason I know about Maldon sea salt is because of a friend. He is a retired chef who now travels looking for the "best products" for everyday cooks. Salt is found all over the world. It's the same but at the same time different. Right now, I'm enjoying a gift from him. It's black lava sea salt from Hawaii where you can find several types of sea salt. My supply ran out after moving back to the mainland. I also enjoy using Alaea red salt also from Hawaii. Slight variations in flavor. Just ask your phone for more information. Sadly, I've been diagnosed with Meniere's disease, so I am only allowed1/8 of a teaspoon of salt per day. Ruined my entire week. All salt is organic, it's what humans do to 'improve' salt that's unhealthy.

To all the people complaining about the sweatshirt, I think you should rethink your priorities because she was just trying to teach a recipe. I don't think she was meaning to give fashion advice. If you want to look at fashion advice, go ahead. But if you can't enjoy whimsy and happiness by wearing a sweater in a way that isn't conventional then respectfully get off the device 💕 to the people saying that it doesn't look sexy or that it looks sloppy or it looks childish. Why you thinking about it like that rather than just letting her wear it the way she likes? Like bfr, your styles are probably ugly to someone else, but you like it. No one has the right to make fun of something that's as personalized as style and stylistic choices. 🙏

Carmelitas These easy Carmelita Bars are a caramel lover's dream come true, with soft gooey caramel and chocolate sandwiched between layers of buttery sweet oatmeal crumbs. These will quickly become your new favorite bar cookie. CourseDessert CuisineAmerican Keywordcarmelita dessert, carmelitas bars, carmelitas recipe, what is a carmelita Prep Time15minutes minutes Cook Time30minutes minutes Servings9 servings Calories608kcal AuthorBeth Pierce Ingredients Cookie Base 1 cup all purpose flour 1 cup rolled oats ¾ cup packed light brown sugar ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 12 tablespoons unsalted butter melted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Caramel Sauce 36 caramels unwrapped (Kraft brand) ½ cup heavy cream Instructions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick spray. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, melted butter, and vanilla extract with a fork. Using a spoon and a fork, pat a little more than half of the mixture into your prepared pan and bake it for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, add the unwrapped caramels and the heavy cream to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 60-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the caramels are melted, and the sauce is smooth. Use a whisk towards the end of the melting process for a smoother caramel sauce. Remove the baked oat mixture from the oven and sprinkle it with the chocolate chips. Pour the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips. Sprinkle with the remaining oat mixture and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely before cutting. Once slightly cooled, you can speed the process up by placing the pan in the fridge. Notes Line your pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick spray. The caramel sauce gets very sticky, and it tries to stick to the pan. Quick oats can be substituted, but we prefer old-fashioned rolled oats for a chewier texture and finish. Have the caramels unwrapped and ready to go before you start the recipe. You can also make the caramel sauce on the stovetop over low heat, stirring very frequently until melted and smooth. For a change of taste, try other chip flavors like dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, or peanut butter. Add chopped pecans, walnuts, peanuts, or macadamia nuts. Store fully cooled bars in an airtight container on the counter at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the fridge for up to 8 days. @@GingerHuffstetler The comment section is for viewers to make comments - good and bad. Wasn't judging her but the cookies. Don't take every comment so personal....lol. Also, it doesn't take a lot to imagine adding lots of caramel syrup and chocolate chips will make the already sweetened oatmeal dough even sweeter. Some people like me just prefer plain old oatmeal cookies, which I make pretty often.

@crystaljones9656 1 cup all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking soda 1 cup quick cooking oats ¾ cup packed brown sugar ¾ cup melted butter ¼ teaspoon salt 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips ½ cup chopped walnuts ¾ cup caramel ice cream topping 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour Combine the 1 cup flour, baking soda, oats, brown sugar, salt and melted butter. Mix to combine, mixture will be very crumbly. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the greased 9X9 glass dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 min. Let cool slightly then sprinkle over the crust the chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Mix the caramel ice cream topping with the 3 tablespoons of flour and drizzle over the chocolate chips. Top with the remaining oatmeal mixture. You will need to break it into small pieces to cover. Bake again at 350°F (175° C) for 15 min. Let the bars cool before cutting.
