damn girl, you had me crying.Even though it was clear for a while that you were surprising your family, I couldn't stop the tears when you actually walked in there. I have done a surprise visit to my family in The Netherlands and my brother in Barcelona as well a couple of years ago, which was a great success, but planning it all without telling them was really difficult.

Mijn vriend is Amerikaans en heb hem sinds december 2019 niet meer kunnen gezien :(. Gelukkig gaan de grenzen eindelijk open en kan ik deze kerst reizen naar de VS om hem na twee jaar eindelijk in de armen te springen. Deze video raakt dus ontzettend! While I was watching this I was having a very spicy dish from the local Indonesian takeout. So, as you can imagine, tear drops literally started amassing in my eyes and then rolling over both of my cheeks. So, it has nothing to do with Fisherman’s friends. And certainly not with the absolute freakin’ awesome and blessed and emotional surprise you did for your loving parents. Absolute not. It was the spicy food. OMG it feels like we live the same life in the same time but i'm the male from the netherlands and she's the american. We're next door in PA :) Last time we seen my family was when we got married in the Netherlands and then I moved in 2018. And have been here ever since. Like you, our plan was to go in 2020 too haha.. Makes me so happy to see you actually made it home. I haven't yet but we will. At least I've seen my mom 2 years in a row when she came to have christmas with us and probably this year too.

Haha, I'm in PA as well and moved 4 years ago from Groningen. Non of my family was there when I got married here in PA :( I also planned to visit in 2020... I haven't seen my dad in over 4 years now... My sister and mom did visit 2 years ago.

@@heatherlands I moved from Kampen (Near Zwolle) to Philadelphia and we just bought a house 30 minutes West from Philly. My mother has visited twice now. and last year couldn't due to Covid. she's planning to come this year. Haven't seen my sister and her kids since I left. Other then online.

These are the best surprises. My aunt lives in the US too, and when my grandfather turned 70, we did a similar thing. The whole family gathered at my parents' house. My aunt hid upstairs and pretended to call on the phone to congratulate him. Then, while they were talking, my aunt came walking down. My parents videotaped it, and the look of pure joy on my grandfather's face is priceless.

In regards to that flight attendent on your way out... that's as much Dutch as a strangled cat's speech after an overdose of catnip. Yeah, that sentence indeed made as much sense as what the attendent was vocalizing as well. I got: veiligheidskaart, bespreek met personeel, kapitein verplichte daken. 🤷‍‍😅 Oh by the way, thank you dad for me. Because of him I looked up Amerika for a second (even though I know where it is) but I never notice there was a Schans (Fort) of the Frisian Water Line (defensive structure) over there.
