These videos always make me cry. The fathers who recieve these wonderful gifts are the unsung heroes of society. They always put there families first; leaving there dreams and desires on the back burner; and more often than not never being fulfilled. The culture puts actors and sport figures on pedestals, forgetting about the real heroes who struggle daily to do what's right for there families. God Bless all the dad's out there who quietly do without for the sake of there loved ones. Miss you dad. Thank you

My grandfather had terminal lung cancer from smoking his whole life and so for one of his birthdays (i forget which one), my dad and uncles had his old 1960 corvette restored. The car had sat in his airport hangar for years under a car cover. The car was painted Red (used to be black) and the 350 and TH400 that he had swapped in it when he dragged raced it in the 60s was rebuilt. Because he was loosing his feeling and strength, power steering and power brakes were added. Thankfully he was able to drive the car for a while before he passed away even if he had to use a lever for the gas/brakes. The car was actually my grandmothers daily driver to work as well but man it will chirp the tires in just about any gear. I hope to buy it when I am older but until then it is still driven and carries many fond memories for my family.

My dad had an 81 camaro that he loved. I was driven home from the hospital when I was born in that car and all he wanted is for me to drive that car when I was old enough. The car ended up sitting for the past 15 years. I made it my goal to fix it up and drive him in it one day but he passed 13 months ago. I just didnt have the know how to do it (and most likely still don't) but that won't stop me! Most people would junk the car, it needs everything and it would be cheaper to buy a knew one. I ended up buying a "parts car" to fix it but I restored it and made it into bumblebee from transformers in hopes to get kids to love these old cars. Then I bought a 79 t top camaro in hopes of learning more about the car. I was set to start the restoration on his car when a 49 buick straight 8 super went up for sale. My dad was in love with this car and was always sad to see it sit out in this guys yard rotting away. Well since there is only 246 of 'em left I put the camaro on hold and bought it. I now have it purring like a kitten so the camaro is next on my list. I may not be able to take him for a ride but I damn sure can take his car for one.

Yeah, baby. That made me cry. There's nothing better than making a senior citizen relive a motoring experience. It's so ingrained in our spirit. Cars, engines, color choices, and the NEW MODLES for 'That' year were a great part of our lives. My folks would take us kids to see the new models of all the car makers each October...that's when they came out. It was a fun time...huge search lights combing the sky,,, big adds in the papers...talk of new cars on radio & T.V....that was great news for America...we were on the MOVE!

Rest in peace my beloved son....I live day by day because I knew you loved me and that keeps me going to be the strong person you believed in your mama. Please be waiting for me when I fly to you... surely God had a special love for such a beautiful kind and loving man. then that’s all it takes. work hard at working for the job you want & get to it. keep your nose to the grindstone or textbooks & when you look up in 10 years, you’ll be where you want(ed) to be. if you’re working & not able to put anything away or aside, then GTFO of there for something suitable. ask someone who’s already there & tell them your intentions…they’ll recognize the drive & show you how it’s done, when you link to the right person(s) that see you’re the real deal. it works.
