I had to pause the video before it was done to write this. On the beach discussion- I just kinda shook my head because that sir is one reason why I watch. Your family's heart, and how much you're involved in the lord. Very much reminds me of my father, who passed in 2015. Then I thought about your table prayer, which I miss as well from my dad. Couple seconds later my heart piter patered. I love you guys, and all the joy and hope your family brings to me, and so many others in their times of need all over the world. Thank you for all you do ❤

Alex, from a retired ophthalmic technician, what you had/have is called a chalazion (some laypersons call it a stye). It’s just a blocked meibomian (oil) gland on your eyelid margin. Treatment is hot compresses as much as you can until it comes to a head. Usually this happens under your lashes along the eyelid margin, but they can form on top of the skin like yours has, it just takes the path of least resistance. Once they come to a head if they don’t rupture and drain on their own, we express the contents just using a cpl Qtips or clean fingers(at home)/gloves(in office). Hot compresses beforehand will help keep the contents more liquidy. The thing is, if the contents are not removed, once the tenderness and inflammation subsides and the pore closes you will be left with a permanent lump on your eyelid. At that point the only way of removing it is to have it incised and scraped out by an ophthalmologist. Watching it develop over the last two videos I’m just itching to give it a squeeze LOL. Once you get it draining it will continue over the course of a day and just keep pressing on it every now and then til you can no longer get anything out. Wipe away what you can but it won’t do anything to your eye if you get it in your eye. It’s strictly an eyelid issue and not at all an eyeball issue. Hope this helps! PS antibiotics don’t really help because it’s not an infection.

Some people find that using a warm tea bag instead of a warm cloth compress can be just as effective, and tea comes with proven antibacterial properties that may help to reduce the swelling. Always wait until the teabag has cooled before applying, and use a separate teabag for each eye to avoid cross-contamination. Ps you have the most beautiful family ❤️❤️ xx

My aunt always soaked a towel in a very hot Epson salts water mixture, and then put that on her eye three or four times a day a very hot rag, and would let that pull all the stuff to the top of the stye, and then she could squeeze it and get it all out so she only had styes for about two days
@sonyah6699 Жыл бұрын
Ive been prone to getting styes in the past. What worked for me was to take an antihistamine and it took away the pain and swelling (same tablet to treat hayfever)

Warmth will help it heal and make it disappear. Whenever I get one I take a washcloth and rinse with really warm water, squeeze it and then place it on the eye with the sty and gently press and stroke with the cloth in a direction towards the inner corner of the eye. Key here is to use the cloth as warm as you are able to. The sty you have is really big, so it may take a bit longer for it to disappear, but I'm confident it will eventually (sooner than it would have without the warmth)..😌❤️🤗 Hope you feel better soon 🤗❤️🙏

I had a chalazion cyst a few years ago. It was painful and annoying. When the swelling finally went down there was a firm, pea sized bump left behind. I did not take antibiotics because the ophthalmologist said nothing will make it go away except surgery. He removed it from the underside of my eyelid and it’s been perfect ever since!
@tracydavies1335 Жыл бұрын
I know it’s probably mind over matter and it’s an old wives tale but I suffered with sty’s often when I was a child and my mum would alway rub a gold ring over it and I swear it would go away. It was probably just the pressure when it was ready to burst. I love your vlogs and I am not religious at all but I just love the positivity 🩷

As a teen I used to get stye's often. I would soak cotton balls in hot boric acid - as hot as you can stand and rest them on my eyelid. It would usually bring the stye to a head and cause it to drain. It would be gone within a couple of days. If it would not open and drain it would turn into a chalazion and then the doctor would have to lance it. ( I would sometimes sterilize a needle and lance it myself but that is pretty old fashioned. I am 70 so old time home remedies!)

I had something just like that on my eyelid. I went to three ophthalmologists until one finally diagnosed it as a Chalazion. He had to excise it. Look up Chalazion on the internet. It is a slowly developing lump that forms due to blockage and swelling of an oil gland in the eyelid. A chalazion often starts out as a very small, red, tender, swollen area of the eyelid and is generally not an infection.
