Ryan dude, best of luck with the travels. Can’t even describe how awesome this is
@Spapadap Жыл бұрын
The way in which you allow yourself to vulnerable and forge connections with stangers is a skill within itself. Wheather you know the language or not - thats how you travel, thats how you make magic happen. Youre even better at doing this IRL than over omegle.

3:42 in this case you don't say "Monggo" but "Nuwunsewu"....Monggo literally means "come!" it's like an invitation for someone to join your activity like eating, going somewhere, doing something, etc. Nuwunsewu in other hand means "excuse me!". In Bahasa Indonesia "Monggo" means "Mari" and "Nuwunsewu" means "Permisi"

4:05 In the Thai Restaurant, your friend asked the waiter girl on yellow outfit whether she was from Pontianak ( Kalimantan Barat ) ? The girl said no, she is from Kalimantan Timur, Kota Samarinda. 17:58 He might used the word "bangkrut" to jokingly express that he can't afford to rent such expensive room like in Hyatt ( he was broke ). It is quite unsual for Indonesian to use the word bangkrut in this kind circumstances, the word bangkrut is a strong word, people would usually use it to describe other people business situation ( gone bankrupt ), not for self describing. 18:51 I've done numerous replays to figure out what he was saying but to no avail. I'm guessing that he was "trying" to speak in English, and what he said had something to do with you and the girl, considering that he pointed his finger while talking. IMO, the guy's joke was a cringe, in Sundanese is called garing ( kering in Indonesian ).

@infinitysplitda4563 ай бұрын
Try Tandem for language study with native speakers. And iTalki. Both of those plus KZbin videos like Indonesianpod and going to local 🇮🇩 restaurants and speaking with people there is doing wonders for me

Try speaking with natives on Tandem. Many on there and they love speaking with Americans learning Indo. Also iTalki for very cheap lessons. And Indo pod videos here on YT. Also try going to Indo restaurants around you and they will be happy to speak with you and teach you

The story of prambanan, there are a war between two kingdom. There are a prince called bandung bondowoso he kill the king of the other kingdom and win the war. The died king had a daughter called Rorojongrang, Bandung Bondowosa falling in love with her. However, Rorojongrang had a grudge against Bandung Bondowoso for killing his father, so he refused Bandung Bondowoso's love. Bandung Bondowoso never gave up expressing his love so finally Rorojongrang accepted his proposal with one condition, he had to build 1000 temples in 1 night actually Rorojongrang did it to reject Bandung Bondowoso's love. Bandung Bondowoso who was in love then did it with the help of genies, when 999 temples had been built Rorojongrang sabotaged it by hitting the rice pounder so that the cock crowed and burned straw to make light as if the sun had risen as a sign that it was morning. Rorojongrang counted the number of temples and there were only 999, then Bandung Bondowoso did not accept it and cursed Rorojongrang to become a temple to complete it to 1000.
