hi awesome and very adorable video of you guys exploring Bandung. By the way, when you greet people in Indonesia just say "hi" or "halo" (Hello), and when you're leaving its okay to just say "Bye" (its a very common word for us to say actually) atau "dadaah~". "Selamat tinggal" actually sounds a little too somber, as if you're saying "goodbye forever" lol. Or you can say "sampai jumpa" when you leave a place or parting with someone, it means "see ya!" ... hope this helps, wish you guys a great trip!!

Great effort on learning Bahasa Indonesia, just for suggestion when you meet up with people along the road, the correct to say is Hello, apa kabar (Hello, how are you), and instead saying Selamat tinggal, just say it Sampai jumpa(Good Bye and hope to see you again) after you say Hello, how are you. "selamat tinggal" is formal word to say goodbye, we never use tho. its better to say "sampai jumpa", its mean until we meet again (someday). or u can say "dadah" same as "bye bye" we re always using "sampai jumpa" or "dadahh" word. if u are walking accros people, u can say "permisi", its mean "excuse me". the word "permisi" in other language - javanese (java) : nuwun sewu - sundanese (bandung) : punten - bugis (south sulawesi, makassar : tabe - etc just info, if its hard to remember just say "permisi" all indonesian will understand 🎉🎉🎉
