There is iso (in search of) groups on Facebook. Etsy considers vintage anything older than 20 years. Don’t ever throw any sewing supplies away. I’ve sold some vintage notions and patterns and made some $$$$. People have told me they have searched for years for certain patterns because it was something someone had or sewed in old days. Also even cut patterns can sell because it saves a person time from cutting it out. You need to make sure all the pieces are there though. If its not, let people know.

Absolutely. Sewing patterns are gold! Good idea on using Facebook to find them AND sell them. But always look them up on ebay because you never know when you'll find one that someone on ebay will pay $100 for, but a local maybe wouldn't pay that much. But the nice thing about selling on Facebook? No fees if you're just selling to someone local and meet them. That's SUCH a bonus especially when it's for a higher amount. And speaking of Facebook and sewing supplies.... I once picked up a box full of sewing buttons for $2 and sold it on Facebook for $65 to a collector. 🤑 But, anyway... great points! I’ve sold several 70’s wedding and several cape patterns. I was told the capes were for Renaissance festival.

Great info again. When I start to look around for stuff to sell here or thrift stores garage sales etc I need to stop just looking at man cave stuff. I think I saw that women's Hair colouring kits are selling well ( can't go to a salon ) right now. Stay safe there!

How do you ship it? Is a thin envelope too thin?

I typically use a bubble envelope. You could also use a poly mailer.

@Ale if you're worried about it getting bent, try writing "do not bend" with a sharpie on the outside of the envelope. Then the carrier will know not to bend it. Good luck!
