I’m a 100% Crayola Crayon person. But I’m really interested in the Bic ones. Love Bic pens. Thanks for sharing Kim. Have a great day!!!

Cool comparison of crayons Kim. Nothing worse for kids if you get them new crayons and either the tip breaks off or like the Playskool that just break!! I’m thinking of one you may have missed Rose-Art crayons. I think they still make them but of course I can’t be sure🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

I'm an old AF woman and I still use crayons. I am a Crayola loyalist though. They even have a distinctive scent. Some of the Crayolas that you used to find at Dollar General had an off scent. It was weird- like they were seconds. And, like others have said, Rose Art is another value brand. They are pretty waxy and the pigment isn't as good as Crayola. Fun comparison!

i am surprised you did not find Prange crayons- usually at art supply stores. i think they were made in Germany. they used to be my favorites when i was little but when i used them decades later they seemed different and more waxy,. they were known for high quality pigments and depth of shade....... havent seen them around lately. just fyi

Thanks Kathy, how much are they typically? I was going for value brands

@@AffordablyCrafty i havent seen them in a store recently. but it says that they are around 49 cents at Walmart and 1.39 at Office Supply. but i dont think these are the 'real prang' from years ago. i have a feeling they probably had a no-no oil in them years ago which now they need to be 'edible'. years ago they didnt care so much if we puked after eating a box of crayons- hahahaha google brings up several sources but they used to be in a black shiny vinyl box- tres chic

I bought our 29 yr old so many crayons when he was in elementary school, that when our 17 and 15 yr olds came around, that I never had to buy another. I hit up a sale at the NEX (navy exchange), they had Rose Art 24 packs for 2 for a nickel. Colored pencils 2 for a quarter, I'm still going through loose leaf paper LOL. I bought so many crayons, colored pencils and glue sticks, 5 yrs ago I donated everything to the kindergarten classes at their k to 8 school. The only think I will ever have to buy them is pencils and pens. Maybe a couple of binders. My husband works at a community college. He said if no one comes to claim this box of binders before Aug, he's bringing them home.

I think another value brand is RoseArt. They are waxy in comparison to Crayola brand if I remember correctly.
