The Beauty of a Resin Purse is to make it clear transparent..or atleast semi transparent ..what's cool and sets it apart from regular purses..is that you Embed the Resin w cool stuff ..When you open and shut it ..you set it on its side...and its ment to keep cute stuff inside..Special Look

Decofoil also has a "duo gel". You can use it for heat transfer foil or this foil (no heat). It is in a tub, and probably cheaper than the little tubes if you aren't piping 😎 meant to be used with stencils

You did such a wonderful job on this! Even designing the lining, which makes it functional. All the seams in the lining could be glued together with fabric glue, for anyone who doesn’t sew or might not have a machine. Pressed flowers would be cute on it or a stained glass design, lotsa fun options. Are there anymore styles available? A laptop backpack or briefcase would be great too.

There are endless design possibilities with these purses... currently there's this round style and a rectangular one that is similar in size. I haven't seen and larger ones yet.

Instead of the stencil you used ~ try using a silk stencil ~ it will smooth on resin without any glue/spray and you just peel it off ~ clean silk stencil in same manner (water) ~ rubber sponge relief on silk stencil ~ this will give you a much cleaner finish!!

Thank you Lisa, you must be referring to silkscreening... yes that could be another option for adding a painted design. Though, the glue in this case was necessary for the chrome metal effect, and I really liked the texture, it had a gold embroidery look😊.

Hi again Lisa, I saw that you asked a question on another video but I can't find it again... so hopefully you'll see this comment here. The 4th picture on my home page is a piece I created using my painted stained glass technique, I didn't create a tutorial specifically for that design, but I have a couple tutorials for the technique with other designs... I'll link them here. Almost all my designs are hand drawn by me, this purse project was a rare one where I used a stencil. Instead of washi tape, could a fabric that was also the same as the lining be used on the sides? Since you topcoat with resin.

Yes, technically. I've done a couple tutorials where I used fabric in resin. If you plan to encase the fabric in resin (topcoat) , you'll need to know how the fabric will react... will it soak in the resin? Different type of fabrics have unique reactions. Spray sealing could help. The resin on the fabric could affect the overall look of the finished piece. So I would recommend testing first. If you don't plan to encase in resin, then you'll need a good fabric sealer.

This is the coolest mold ever.. but what if u want to make say 2 dozen purses...they dont say u can order more hardware..... So a useless mold ...i would take up this hobby if i could make all my pals one...and that would be 3 dozen frames...and another say 12 for family...
