Thank you for sharing another great video full of tips. We learn so many different techniques through the years, and forget them, or get bored with them and move on. It’s great to see fresh ideas mixed in with oldies but goodies! I need to use scraps as techniques examples, and swatches that I never finished. Thank you again, Gwen. 😊

Thanks Kim, it's so true! Yes, the scraps as templates and swatches are my favourites, especially when I make something I love and know in my heart I'll forget how I did it and what all the measurements were. Super dooper handy to have a template to reference.

Great video! The woven card is very cool. Another great use for white scraps is to substitute these for foam tape. Especially for sentiments, just cut multiple and glue them together. Holds up better through the mail. (Jennifer McGuire does this all the time)

Hey Erin, Thanks for popping by today, I actually did this on a card recently, it's a great way to add dimension and uses up those scraps, love it! I appreciate you adding it here for reference.

I actually made a video on that! This one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJrOhKSBhcigitE After making this I have moved them into the here: shrsl.com/4gztn only because I was gifted this at Christmas. This one holds less ink: www.scrapbook.com/store/pfs-pf133es.html I have the full set. Both options are great and I would very happily keep them in either.

💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 white scraps are my least scraps, I use them for everything, because they're white you can die cut and then colour instead of running things through a few times, and another one I like is to make templates for stamp sets that have a coordinating punch, I use my punch to punch out the punch shape, then I use that to know where to pop my stamps on my block or platform for easy stamping and also means less waste, and easier to punch once then multiple (I hope all that made sense??)

Please help a creative out!!!.... Did I use that embossing folder right way up or upside down?? I still can't tell if I can use it either side up. 🧐
@tammyb64978 ай бұрын
You can use embossing folders either side up. With regular folders, one side looks embossed and the other side looks debossed. With the 3D ones you can hardly tell the difference, I find. It’s fun to mix up the look!
@CreatedByGwen8 ай бұрын
@@tammyb6497 The more I look at it I'm thinking this one is like that... could go either way... which is fab because I did feel a little bit silly!!! Thanks so much for helping me out with this.

It doesn't matter because they are made to use both ways. So no matter what it was right way up. I thought it looked fantastic and as long as you are happy with your end result.. that's what's important.

Question I am actually working on a woven strip background for a few days now. How did you glu your first strip down?
@CreatedByGwen8 ай бұрын
@@brendaelainewaddell1682 I just used my ATG Tape but I put the tape on the backing piece not the paper I'm adding ontop... I lined it up with the edge of the backing piece in the bottom corner, top to bottom, then added in the pieces that go across ways, I just lifted it up to slide the strip underneath it. So it too is over, under, over under... but with the ATG you can lift it up and down to reposition as needed. Hope this helps.
@brendaelainewaddell16828 ай бұрын
@@CreatedByGwen I've not had a problem with the weaving but just trying to figure how to fasten it. Yours seemed quite well attached.
@CreatedByGwen8 ай бұрын
@@brendaelainewaddell1682 Ahhh yes... I used my ATG Tape and then some glue once I knew everything was in the right place. Any reposition-able tape would work best.

I get lots of white scraps, but now that I make cards, there are always die cuts to cut and color.
@CreatedByGwen8 ай бұрын
I have noticed that too, it's much easier to use up scraps on cards than on scrapbook layouts.
