This was a terrific video. Quite a journey as you combine so many seemingly unrelated items. I loved the sedum head dress and how you covered up the two original faces. It helped to understand when you use slits to intertwine various elements and stretch the usual styles. The Creature From the Black Lagoon is still my favorite, remembering seeing him in the theater in the 50’s. Thank you so much.

Barbie... you are sooo creative... this turned out wonderful! Before you mentioned it, I was thinking his goofy grin was for the pinup girl...lol! You're probably aware of the Lucky Stricke company removing the green dye for the WW2 war effort because of the copper used in making the dye. Good job!😊

I have done one of sorts. You’ve seen those that have used a face and added all sorts of different things for the hair. I did one of those several years ago. It turned out pretty good and was fun to do. I think I used all antiquarian stickers and made the face with a face stencil I have, book page as skin. I’ll have to go back and take a look at that one.

I LOVE this collage so MUCH!!! That giraffe really makes it come alive for me. Also, thank you for the tips on how you fussy cut with a knife - I’ll definitely be trying that technique out. I also wonder if gluing down my magazine images to card stock first might help for any papers that seem prone to ripping. Any advice for that?

Loretta, thank you so much!! I'll be doing a video on delicate magazine images. I recently saw a video using freezer paper and want to try it out before I make my video. Stay tuned and I'll help you out with that. I wouldn't glue them to cardstock, your images may become to bulky and I'd hate to see your images ruined with so much glue. One I can get back into my craft room, (I had foot surgery and should be good to go Feb 1) that is going to be one of my first videos. Great question and so happy you were able to take a tip or two from my fussy cutting. Cheers! 😉

This is so great! I love the whole design and your instructions were very helpful on using the x-acto knife. What is the glue that you are using?

Thank you very much for your kind comment and for viewing my video! The glue is Art Glitter Glue. You can purchase it on Amazon or Etsy. I would suggest, if you were to make a purchase, you purchase a bundle which includes the 2oz bottle, along with the 8 oz refill bottle. It will come with the small metal tip too. The only thing is, make sure you use the stainless steel pin that comes with it (if one does not come with it, you can purchase decorative ones on Etsy just for this bottle) because if you don't the top will clog. I also have to do a deep clean of that tip monthly by boiling it in water and removing the dried glue inside. It's not a bad process, it's just tedious. Good luck and happy collaging!

I cut in sections too. If you want to make something you have cut stand out, go around the side with a pencil.

Fussy cutting is easy with very small scissors. I couldn't imagine trying to do it with full size scissors. Look in sewing areas and in embroidery areas of a craft store.
