I feel like I'm discovering new ways to enjoy Bannerlord. In this episode, I compose an entire army (legion) of only members of our family's troops. Asti-Rex leads the gladiators with our new member Cassius. Gaius Magnus has taken command of the recruits, with my wife the Empress, supplementing our army too. Skyrim for the Civil War series will take time to prepare. I'd expect it to be out either at the end of this month or next month. Diary of a soldier attacking Tsogeel Castle: "...Right as we started to attack the walls, I saw my Emperor, alone on his horse, contemplating about something. Then suddenly I was very surprised, he rode as fast as he can toward the wall, choosing to gallop uphill, and right at the top, he and his horse jumped. At the time, I thought "Wow, my emperor is flying. He is trying to jump past the walls". Alas, reality is often disappointing. He didn't jump high enough and crashed face first into the wall. Me and my fellow soldiers saw that, and laughed for a bit before my Emperor suddenly give us his deathly glare. All of us quickly shut our mouths and continue on to focus on the assault. This is just one of those days where His Majesty the Emperor felt like doing some weird things on the battlefield I suppose. "

You should absolutely have a cavalry corps commander, a specialist in mounted combat. Perhaps even a foreigner who is more versed in that style of combat can be of use to rome.

The campaign against the Lyrions is going... surprisingly well, maybe too well. Your reforms for the army have made your battles all the more fun to watch. After hearing the tale of how the Lyrion defenders crumbled against your small band of companions and legionaries, it has led me to think that these people should have been conquered sooner. For now, the nomads don’t seem to be posing a problem, but I do fully support your decision to go after the Western Empire. They’re growing in power and could pose a threat to you. I believe it’s high time you take the fight to them and claim the island headquarters you’ve been eyeing for so long.

It would be cool to see Marcus Agrippa have a grand battle for Lamesa Castle in his war against the Lyrions, because throughout his entire time serving the empire Lamesa Castle was arguably Agrippa's greatest failure. Marcus should have the chance to redeem his lost honor and pride from his past defeats at that accursed castle!

I really like how you you are being really immersed in the story. It really sets you apart from other playthroughs. It makes it feel like the audience is a part of an authentic story and not just a playthrough. Also, the occasional defensive battle or seeing that the other Roman armies have lost is good. It also demonstrates that Rome is not immune to being attacked by others, either one of the other Roman factions or enemies like the Lyrians. It adds a bit of difficulty. Maybe someday you could even do a prison break if someone you know is captured.

I like the idea of a party member leading some auxiliary units. A trusted comrade, one who knows the local populace well, and can muster good auxiliaries for you.

Biggus Dickus lol personal issues have stopped for a couple of days for my membership renewal, and finally I noticed the AI doesn't like to stab I don't think there would be a better weapon that would thematically make sense for a slashing weapon for Brutus to wield but I think he would perform better in combat as the Gladius has some relatively weak slashing damage as compared to it's stab

For your northern Outpost, I'd advise Epicrotea, because 1. It sounds similar to crotor and I like that 2. It's surrounded by villages that produce silver and iron and would be ideal to Smith new equipment 3. Is protected by the mountains and bridges, is easily defensible, is an imperial province, is at the border of the northern barbarians, those on mountains living kidnappers and those chivalric morons of the west. The 3. Point is longer because I got tired. I actually suspect many people of wanting to murder you, be it pompeus, Scipio (General, not companion), or basically any other general Agrippa served with. Even crotor the greater/the swole

It would be cool if you gave the Empire back to the people and went back to being a farmer after ending your campaign and leading Rome to victory like Cincinnatus. And your wife could become consul. Yes please have a Companion have some heavy shock Cav or some light horse to chase and or trample archers. AND they don't have to be Roman.. Find the heaviest ones out there and use them as your hammer.

To reaffirm what he said abuot the gladiators, propper gladiators who weren't just criminals or slaves sent to executed were picked due to their physique, trained extensively, had custom made outfits both to protect them and to show off their assets optimally, and were given specialized trainers, dieticians, physicians, and all that. They'd often even have things like fan clubs and such cultivated to generate more devoted people-who will as a result pay more when tickets go on sale at the arena they fight in. They were expensive and their agents were the one paying for this. If they died the guys would lose all that money and they were in it for profit. And with that in mind, keep in mind people pay double for a grudge match.

Just take care to not have too many signifiers in your army instead of legionaries, as cool as they are they are only supposed to be a few or some of them for every legionary and it's even more importantly in game too beacuse the legionnaires are just a lot better and more useful to you in almost all situations, yes signifiers improve morale but that pales to a soldier as good and as armored as the legionary that can use many formations and throw pila, especially in high numbers, i know that you can promote them to opios and they are really good but so are pretorians, anyway just be careful that you don't go overboard with the signifiers and forget to get enough legionaries to have a proper legion that will help you out more and still look just as cool.

Just had an idea for King William Marshal. Aserai assassins come in the night and murders his wife and children. The King goes mad and declares war on all of Calradia as he doesn’t know who orchestrated the attack. He then fights a losing war with the khuzait and aserai until he inevitably falls to a massive horde. In his last moments he sees his wife before him and he weeps into himself.

I know this campaign is over but for future ones since thanks to your mods you can have unlimited companions would you consider having an army of nothing but companions? Like recruit troops as usual and through that distinguished service mod just slowly turn your whole army into companions. It sounds like a fun idea to me personally but i dont know how effective it would be.

with Marcus destroying 1100 troops of lycarons, Marcus has weakened the lycarons because it would not be easy for such a small kingdom to muster an army of more than 1100 (in bannerlord of course)
