Hey Surreal, nice to see you on Bannerlord again! When fighting cavalry with lances, use more layers of infantary (square formation is great) and use the horses, trees and rocks to protect you from enemy charges. It works nice! Also, you need to lvl up steward with food, remember. 9 type of foods is a lot of XP and you'll be able to get more troops!

Hey Surreal! Great vid as always :) As a general tip against cavalry I dismount myself (and companions) and move my shield wall behind the standing horses (really close, as if like they are a new row in a formation). The horses can take the impact of the charging enemy cav leaving your boys get free hits on them. The enemy is going for you and your infantry and won't really hurt your horses just get stuck on them (slowin them down or even stop them) since they are in the way. Maybe not really big tip but I hope it can sometimes help!

I’ve long awaited the return, bannerlord modded is like a whole new world compared to the original series created. One Tip that may help you, instead of being in shield wall against all cav try the square formation it will make your units bunch together in a square causing all the enemies to get stuck in. You could also just make your shield wall more dense making it harder for them to pass through. Wish you luck on the rest of the campaign! If you put people into the game as companions like before I would be honored. But anyways like always have an amazing day, I hope you everything has been okay while you have been away. I know times have been rough for a lot of people including myself. I recently lost one of my best friends… but it’s okay, she lived a great life. I hope you have been treated well by the world.

Great to see you back man. Against mounted troops the square formation (f2 then f5 i believe) has become more effective. You should make sure your shielded troops have a couple of spears and javelins in between to counter shock units like cavalry, that should give them a better life expectancy. The Caravan Ambush mission is a single fight against mounted bandits, the Escort Merchant Caravan is a tiny campaign of three to five battles. its a good way to loot some horses early on for your party carrying capacity.

great video and i'm glad to see you back. few tips: there's a command to "face the enemy" that's more practical than moving the troops up and down. they'll stay at their position and just pivot, so their ranks don't get disorganized. also, i think the skein or square formations are better against cavalry than shield wall. in my opinion, the skein is great for both, defence and offense.

Once your party gets above 20 men, I recommend you put your companion as commanders of formations because A. It's cool seeing your companions actually leading men B. For next time when you have a small group of infantry against all cavalry, try to put them in a circle formation or a square and have them face a specific direction so they dont move around too much. I have found that to be the most effective

You asked for a complete count, so here you go: In the first hideout raid of the series, thirteen of the bandit scum were killed while two survivors were wounded. In the first battle of the episode, Hannibal’s party killed fourteen and wounded two. One of Hannibal’s soldiers was killed in the skirmish. In the second battle, eight bandits were slain and three were wounded. A foreign spy was killed in a duel with Hannibal. While defending the caravan belonging to Kanmi the Tanner of Alger, Hannibal faced a party of twenty-five raiders. Twenty raiders were killed, three were wounded and two fled. Four of Hannibal’s men died and one was wounded. In the skirmish that followed, both escapees were wounded, but managed to kill one of Hannibal’s soldiers. The caravan arrived with their goods and party intact. In the first encounter with twelve raiders and five barbarians totaling seventeen, fifteen were killed, one was wounded, and the last escaped. In the second encounter, two groups totaling twenty-six barbarians attacked Hannibal’s party. Twenty were killed, two were wounded, at least four escaped. Of Hannibal’s men, two died and one was injured. One last encounter of the four criminals yielded two dead and two wounded. During the second trip of Kanmi the Tanner’s caravan to Béchar, Hannibal encountered a group consisting of twenty-four raiders. Fifteen were killed, four were wounded, and five fled the field. One man in the caravan was killed. Hannibal was turned down for a job in Alger for not being famous enough. The only casualty was his bruised ego. After the failure to procure a job in Alger, Hannibal stopped by Laghouat and spoke to Snake-eyes Gisqo, a local gang leader, about some work. Hannibal attacked the second bandit base of the episode, choosing to duel the crew leader. He won, killing the chief and claiming victory. In total, twelve were killed, one was injured, and the leader’s five companions surrendered. One of Hannibal’s men were wounded in the fight. Six men were taken prisoner. Hannibal visited the city of El oued, speaking to Ohlibaal the Supplier for work. He was again turned down on account of not having enough men. Hannibal travelled to Tunis, witnessing a massive battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians. Carthage emerged victorious. Hannibal was unable to enter the service of a Carthaginian lord because he was not famous enough. After being unable to procure passage to Roman lands, Hannibal purchases a Dhow vessel and named it the _B’aal_. He immediately sails to the closest ferry point in Sicily. Speaking with Avius of Zestea, Hannibal agrees to take care of some brigands. The first band of fifteen is easily dispatched. Thirteen were killed, two were wounded. Unfortunately the job was canceled and Hannibal did not get to slaughter a second band of barbarian savages. In the seas between Italy and Greece, Hannibal encountered twelve sea raiders. Following a brutal exchange of projectiles, ten raiders were slaughtered and two were injured. Docking in the Port of Venezia, Hannibal fights a band of twenty-five barbarians. Fifteen were killed, four were wounded, and six escaped. Hannibal pursues a group of five sea raiders. Four were killed, one was wounded. Hannibal upsets some locals in Wien. Hannibal ambushes fifteen barbarians. Thirteen were killed, two were wounded. In Prague, Hannibal spoke to Orbius Stewbones(it’s Orbin’ time) for work. Hannibal attacked a bandit hideout, killing twelve, wounding one, and imprisoning six. One of Hannibal’s men was killed, but a grateful liberated archer replaced him in the ranks. Total enemies killed: one hundred and eighty-seven Total enemies wounded: thirty-four Total number of Hannibal’s men killed: nine, though one was immediately replaced Total number of escaped enemies: eighteen, though six were wounded and captured and two were killed in later skirmishes. I've been playing the eagle rising mod with the My Little Warband mod, making my own units and troop trees for my clan. I'm absolutely fucking loving it right now. It's so beautiful. I personally love seeing a Phalanx of Hoplites or just a line of them with their shining Hoplons in the sunlight. My character has a bag of javelins and a pair of pila, and the pila might be a bit OP. You can throw one of them for almost a guaranteed kill. But the other one I always save for use as a melee spear because it's damage is so high. I ride around with it stabbing enemy cavalry and dispatching horse archers in 1 to 2 hits
