Wladimir Autain has met Gery Trefois, a Belgian painter, living in France, and practicing his profession as a painter for more than 36 years.
Elected "Craftsperson of the year" in France in 2004, he practices painting, sculpture, engraving, and even photography.
He is a self-taught painter and despite this, he knew how to develop his style and succeed in making a living with his Art.

When he was young he were attracted by Rubens' paintings, especially on the treatment of the skin, he has studied this technique and used it for his own surrealist paintings, mainly depicting female bodies.
