Your videos make me want to go electric, but stock they cost more than a new 250 gas bike (here in Canada anyway) and I'm about 100lbs heavier than you ready to ride. With the upgrades it would need to make it useable for me I don't think it would not be very cost friendly. Looks like I'll be sticking with gas until they get better or cheaper. Thanks for the content always great to watch.

But think of all the places you can ride where a gas bike would get the cops called on you. Plus you can throw it in a hatchback. Still pricey, yes, but worth it if it gets you on trails twice as often?

There’s full size electric bikes that’ll gap a 250 off the line but as an owner of a surron and Ktms electric bike the free ride exc I would still say wait, don’t buy one until you can get at least 75-100miles on em which is a good bit away for true e dirtbikes

Does anyone know how much range you would usually get on a regular gas dirt bike?
@calamitycycles59943 жыл бұрын
Depends on the bike but on my fuel injected rmz250 I can ride something like 8-10 hours on a tank (breaks included). 1.5 gallon or so.

What park is that edwin?? it looks amazing!!
@infinityiznow3 жыл бұрын
Its not a park, back in the day there was only one trail up that people hiked and mountain biked, eventually some people started hitting the mountain from a different spot ripping new trails in with dirt bikes. Now that entry point is private and there is a new trail in but dirt bikes really are not allowed anymore on that mountain due to the influx of people to the trail and area, so sad to see it become over ran with new people to the area, we all new it wouldn't last, the secret is out, the housing in that wonderful small little town has sky rocketed and people like myself that grew up there can't even afford to live there anymore.

@@EdwinOlding I mean would the battery last a day on the streets? I live in the city so I would mostly drive it on the roads
@alecnelson30003 жыл бұрын
@@solo998 It all depends on how far you need to go, hills or flat, average riding speed, the way you drive it etc. But for urban commuting, yes it's usually sufficient. During two weeks in Breckenridge, I used the bike to get from a mountain cabin and down into town, drove around town a bunch, back up the mountain, played around on some trails, and got back home with 20% battery. It's actually a pretty impressive battery
