I don't know what's up with older guys shredding on a small KTM, but I was out trail riding recently and some older guy on a 150exc was so smooth and fast through the trails probably been doing it his whole life, awesome stuff.

The guy riding the 200 is a super good rider for sure! Goes to show that you don't need crazy horsepower for the woods and that lighter, more nimble bikes are better in the woods. Plus, we don't tear up the trails as much.

@@joshc3926 I have the woods high bars. As far as the lines go, all was good. When I put bar risers on, I had to do a little finageling for the rear brake line.

Thank you for showing an electric dirt bike in action. We've seen a few of these electric dirt bikes where we ride and wondered how they perform. The consensus, in our dirt bike group, is to stay with gas powered dirt bikes. However, our group also rides mountain bikes and a few have transitioned to e-mtb.

You are forgetting the convenience of being able to always have a full tank, never need to worry about mixing oil, and the biggest part for me NO NOISE! I can ride my bike behind peoples houses in the suburbs, on the road, through neighborhoods with no heat at all. If i did that back on my old quad bike I would have been arrested within the hour. If you live out in the sticks then yea the noise really doesnt matter but for a lot of people who want to ride and dont have a truck or need to use the bike to actually get around, this is where its at!.

I have a question. I’ve been following your videos for a while since you basically first started doing them asked a few questions in the past my question is I also have a SARAH be with the 21 inch front 18 inch rear set up, I too am a bigger guy about 240- 250 range . I was wondering you had mentioned a roller chain that you were running on your bike how much is difference in miles? Have you seen riding your bike in mostly sport mode before you did the change and after you did the change ??? and do you have a different size sprocket to get more miles out of its battery range.I ride in New York and very similar to what you guys are riding hard dirt ,root rocks etc . I also saw it in one video that you also got rid of the belt and replaced it with a chain. I don’t know how much difference that matters except for maybe durability but I get about 21 miles in sport mode the way, I ride for the most part and where I ride . What do you recommend for more battery life. Also on the suspension in the front how many clicks have you found from all the way closed to the right and backing it off on each fork that you feel your get the best out of the shock does the air or oil seen to also play a big role and how the front end reacts over roots, rocks, and stuff. Another thing I wanted to mention, I was watching the video when your friend was going up a hill. I know when I’m going up a hill on a gas bike like he has a dual sport. He should learn how to use his clutch as a break, rolling down backwards , you a lot of hassle and worry about falling down and it really gives you good control playing around with that can teach him a lot. Rick Larson the IRC tire guy has some great videos on that subject. It really helps you doing proper control on your chairs with the bike. Looking forward to hearing back from you. If there’s anything else you can send me or tell me let me know does traction control work with the 21”and 18” i’ve heard it does work with it and I’ve heard it does it worth with it that there are some changes you have to make to get it to work what is your feelings on that and have you played around with that on the bike I too love the bike. I also have a beta 390 RS 2023, which I am really like, but I also sell these bikes and I’m real interested in the innovative world of bikes. I have about five ultra bees right now that I’m selling brand new. I also have it hilarious which is a blast for going up the trails you can throw it around real powerful anyway thank you send me your thoughts.

I noticed a 20-30% increase in miles riding with a roller chain and gearing down to a 53 tooth sprocket. I really haven't had a chance to compare range with the belt to primary chain conversion as the snow hasn't melted yet to get a comparison on the same trails. So far there doesn't seem to be much difference, except that I feel much better about reliability. As far as suspension, I have mine set as soft as I can. I am about 190 in weight, so it would be different for you. I have never tried traction control and probably won't mess with it. My friend that has trouble on the hillclimbs is a 3rd year rider and is riding a motocross bike on the trails. Not a good fit and hasn't learned how to fan the clutch. I ride in sport mode all the time now and haven't noticed a difference in range. I did switch to throttle setting 2 to get over logs and rocks better and did notice a drop in range, so I put a 54 tooth sprocket on and went back to number 1 throttle setting. Again, haven't had a chance to compare range quite yet. Yes, these are awesome bikes. Can't wait to get my suspension reworked as I think it will help me on the steep hillclimbs.

I'm thinking of picking one of these up next year. What parts of North Idaho are you? North of Sandpoint? I'm over near Kellogg and would love to see one in person. A couple of my neighbors have Talaria Stings but my heart is set on the Ultra Bee.

Coming from owning a few HDS and avoiding dirt and off-roading at all costs, I'm oddly very interested in edirt bikes and single track/trail riding. Semi-silent riding in nature turns me on. I didn't know that "mature adults" do this. I assumed it was a kid/young man's game. I'm 52, in above average fitness, and very young of heart. When my money is right, I'm wanna get an Ultra Bee. I feel like I need to experience this off-road life.

There are plenty of "mature adults" in their 70's and 8o's riding. I am hoping to ride into my 80's. Riding in nature is a whole different world and I am sure you will enjoy it!

Well, I'm 49, but started riding at 3 with an Indian 50. So started as kid, but not stopping anytime soon. Don't thing I'm giving up my fe501, set up with tubliss, and gummy rear tire at 6psi. That and the rekluse, can crawl up the nasty, wet roots, rocks, and logs here in western Wa. Once range gets better, where we get 80 miles on a charge, I'll think about it.

Do you find the front suspension on the stiff side? I am 200lbs and have the compression backed way off.
@schreddersworld1050
@schreddersworld1050 Жыл бұрын
That seems to be the case with most people. I also have mine backed off. I also backed off the rebound a few clicks. I have my suspension pretty dialed as far as sag and compression being even front and rear and I still find them both to be a bit stiff, but mainly the rear for me.

Ask your friend was the 300 too fatiguing compared to 200cc?
@schreddersworld1050
@schreddersworld1050 Жыл бұрын
He is in excellent shape so I doubt he was too fatigued. For the trails he rides, he finds the 200 much more maneuverable and less work. At the end of the day, that would mean less fatigued. I also have owned a 200 and a 300 and the 300 is more bike than needed for our trails. My Ultra Bee is another step to a lighter and more maneuverable bike than even the 200.

Great Video! what kind of range did you get on full charge? What level (1-5) is regen on? Braking and engine regen?
@schreddersworld1050
@schreddersworld1050 Жыл бұрын
My regen was set at 5 and 5. We went 18 miles and I had 29% left which I am not super thrilled about. We were on the gas quite a bit though. I will be lowering the gearing and installing a roller chain which should make a pretty big difference. The O-ring chains have a lot more resistance.

I think the bigger/heavier tires eat up a lot of battery, and maybe try engine regen off because it drags so much and braking regen on, Or was it Like that already?
@schreddersworld1050
@schreddersworld1050 Жыл бұрын
It is absolutely correct that the bigger/heavier wheels and tires eat up the battery more. I will be experimenting with the regen for sure. I also know for fact there is a big difference between chains with range.
@stormtraders

Damn awesome man, good riding too! The battery is just the bottleneck for me. For the ridiculous price you pay losing almost have your battery after half an hour according to your video is just not acceptable to me. Given the fact that it is better to not get the battery lower than 20%. You have anxiety about making it back. Once we have all day ripping batteries, is when ill probably buy one
@schreddersworld1050
@schreddersworld1050 Жыл бұрын
I can understand the dilemma with the battery. That was mostly uphill that I lost that much battery. I can go about 35 miles and about 2 1/2 - 3 hours on a charge, depending on the trails.
