I'm 68 years old and am retiring in 2 weeks. When I watched this video a little over a week ago I thought man, wish I was younger... the next day said f--- it and placed my order. Had it for a couple days now and have probably 30 miles on it. DAMN THIS BIKE IS A BLAST!!! BTW in case anyone is interested... found out today that after unlocking speed with the brown wire, reconnecting it does NOT return it to factory limiting. Unless there is a specific sequence regarding breaker on/off, battery connect/disconnect and ignition on/off that I didn't try. I think I tried them all though. And oh... I told my kids that I bought a really nice $4,500 rocking chair.

I think all the differences and upgrades vs stock surron make sense especially for anyone adult sized an especially for basically the same price. all this upgrades that you would probably want on a surron add up to a significant amount of money ..

Owning both bikes you understand the feel of the talaria under you is so much nicer. The seat and frame shape lends it so much better for sitting, and standing when aggressively riding. I have an early gen sting and that snappy throttle is epic on tight trails. Drifting out of corners. Makes the light bee feel so dowy when I hop back. It gives me the ability to pop wheelies into technical terrain off road with much less effort. It's grand to hear your feelings for the r spec. Recon I'll upgrade to it once I have had a few more years of trail hunting on my current bike.

@@BoomHendo he shouldn't need to cut the wire, it's a software limit with a leaver code to swap between the 50kmph max and unlimited. If your over 170cm tall the sting is a better option. If you intend to ride some mud and trails with lots of long grass, the stings gearbox is better.

Well, Luna Cycle has you to thank because I just placed an order for a Sting R this morning. I bought an updated Sting last year (thinking I should have waited now, lol) and it is soooo much fun, but there are too many upgrades on this new model to ignore...holy crap. I recently found out that this model was coming and assumed it would be priced a bit higher (~$5,500-$6,000 or more) given all of the upgrades but this thing only costs a couple hundred more than I paid for my first Talaria! I bet I'd take an absolute bath on the sale of my lightly used Sting so might just keep it and try to get the wife to do some riding with me. Failing that, I'll just keep one bike fully charged up while I'm riding the other so I'm always ready to go. :) Been watching for a while and your vids are pretty sick - stay safe man!

Really love your channel! Your style is intoxicating - in a good way! Well done with the fair review. Boy, the Talaria does accelerate very nicely and handle like a dirt bike. In urban or even dirt environment, it sure looks like fun mixed with very functional. I'll make a humble prediction as an old man now; battery and e-powertrain technology will continue to improve in power and range to the point like Tesla Model S plaid is today. And they will perform better than gas bikes. But hopefully, we'll still have the leisure to ride a Harley twin (maybe at least in a controlled environment or with a diaper on the tailpipe). Cheers!

It’s to derestrict the bike so that it goes up to 48mph. Originally the bike will only go up to 30mph because in Europe you can be 16 and drive an E bike without a full licence if it only goes to 30mph, in countries such as the UK.🇬🇧 Licence

In UK we have to buy the road legal version then just derestrict it so it’s just as fast as the non road then do a cbt for £200 then insurance at about £400 for 6months! At least the tax is free! It’s an extra £600 but at least you won’t loose your £4000 bike to the police!
