Surveillance Video Shows Wild Daytime NYC Shootout

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help finding some suspects who they say shot at each other in broad daylight on a busy New York City street. Police say it happened in St. Albans, Queens, during the middle of the day. Clear surveillance video released by the NYPD shows three people appearing to get into some sort of dispute before the violent scene unfolds and they all scramble to get away from the chaos.

Man shows up to a dude walking out to his car from a spot he was at to his car, masked up hands in pockets, cops always say , “get your hands out of your pockets” right? The silver car guy noticed that, stayed behind potential cover ready to pull his gun out incase things escalate, he does so seconds before the bad guy does, we don’t know what was said but he obviously knew he was in danger, the other guy starts shooting instantly back. Silver car guy shoots just enough to be able to run into his car and flee the location. Other guy was there ready to kill, he didn’t flee until it was impossible to catch dude

Next scene red bag's under the SUV at least 15 feet away from where it was last visible. So did it blow over there? If so, then there couldn't have been much, if anything, inside it. Both shooters illegally double parked blocking traffic and undoubtedly will be punished severely with heavy fines. The charges for shooting, reckless endangerment with depraved indifference to human life, menacing, assault, etc. will be plea bargained away as the DA's office coaches the public defender on how to make a deal. Meanwhile if a suburban handgun licensee gets caught in the City with nonreciprocal credentials, NYPD will throw the book at 'em and they will lose their permit, firearm, be fined, and fired from their employment, then incarcerated and serve at least a year and a day. That will make New Yorkers safer.

everybody is making fun of their aim but I doubt they could do any better in the heat of the moment when your adrenaline is maxed out, real life isnt like the movies & video games, this is a life and death moment.. and when you're so close to each other and the person your firing at is also firing back at you, you aren't gonna be standing still and taking aim or even moving slowly for that matter, you're just gonna let shots off in their general direction while you dip and dodge for cover like they did in this video or you're gonna catch a bullet yourself.. no point in getting a bullet on target at the cost of you getting bullets in yourself

My friend with his family just had an altercation with a guy who pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot him. They went to the police station to report the incident and gave them the licensed plate number of the guy. Police officer said that they don't do anything about that kind of incident, since nobody was hurt and no shooting happened. "Just be careful next time, and call.911" 😔 Meaning they would let this kind of people carry guns and wait for something bad to happen before they act.. @NYPD is better than this. 🙏

No not really, the US has one of the largest (if not the largest) number of prisoners in the world, having a way harsher justice system than, for example, European countries. Whatever the problem is, it's not going to be solved with harsher sentences
