+Bulbufet FPV You only need to hook up signal and ground for the nub/joystick to work. Just clip off the end of the connector that connects to the camera, connect the white lead to a two pin connector and the other pin on the connector to ground, the rest goes to the vtx. then you do the same on the nub. It is really easy to use as you don't have to pull out any cables from the camera, you just hook up the cable and use the signal from the vtx to view the menu. I might do a video on it if anyone is interested.

The joystick has four wires that goes to the camera. If you cut them to a suitable length you can connect red, yellow and black from the camera to the video transmitter. Connect white to one pole of a connector and ground to the other(polarity does not matter) then you you put the matching connector on the wire from the joystick you only need to connect white and ground.

I just left the power connector on and use a fatshark goggle battery but your mid to the video cable really helped

those connectors the cam came with are for hooking up to a security camera system. i have installed a few of these rigs. interesting that your cam came with those.

Dude...I am in the same boat as you. I am pulling my hair with my Foxeer HS1177....silly... Edit - Took about 2 hrs but I finally got it working. Thanks dude, I just had to strip that RCA cable down and do it like you.

The Fatshark Dominator goggles come with a AV cable, which works with the HS1177 OSD cable - easy.

Thank you for this. If it wasnt for this video I couldnt of created my own tuning cable. I just spliced the ends of the rca cables like you did then just used + - on one wire, yellow signal lead on the other, i cut the other neg wire with the yellow, connected those 3 wires from left to right - + yellow(signal) or reverse yellow(signal) + - Connected 3 wire servo to flight controller and whamo, its a inline tuning cable for quad camera. Just view on your goggles.

Dude, I just plugged in my fatshark battery into that barrel connector and an RCA cable (somehow mine came with that) Anyway, works like a charm! I think a lot of folks don't even think to try their Fatshark for this which is perfect.

Bulbufet FPV it really wasn't to me :D but I like your style of tutorials. hadn't seen your channel before. Just watching your video about what it means to be a multirotor pilot, and I definitley agree. I have a hard time explaining to people my recent obsession with FPV racing. I'm not particularly good at it, but it's still a big part of my life.

I've asked Surveilzone to include BNC to RCA adapters on their HS1177 cameras and they now do: www.massiverc.com/Shop/1611-thickbox_default/25mm-mini-600tvl-sony-super-had-ccd-camera-dc5-21v.jpg Their HS1177m however uses a servo lead, but you could make that work with your HD Runcam or Mobius video out lead.

thanks dude. This video is actually awesome because I've been trying to wrap my head around setting this camera up for a couple weeks. I built a hovership 3S superbeast over the summer and kinda got discouraged trying to figure out the whole FPV thing and basically just had a LoS quad. I did buy this camera before I put everything on hold though...Makes a lot of sense. How did you get a xt60 connection on such thin wire? just as long as its got a good solder its fine? Also do you knwo anywhere to buy a camera cable and the osd cable? I lost the cables to the camera... what mounts do you use for it also btw? THANKS!!!! subbed.

Oh man, why did you cut these wires? In fact, you just needed a BNC to RCA adapter for the video and a DC Jack plug to Deans or XT-60 connector for the voltage input! Anyway great job!

I'm amazed that you can't destroy this camera.. I mean I destroyed mine last weekend.. "If you have such a hard time "F$%^&*&U(* it " just connect the power with inverted polarity and voila!! dead camera! "I feel pretty stupid about that by the way!
