Your videos have been very very helpful. Much more helpful than they company who sold the equipment.

How do I get rid of the RTK position (continuous measurement) and just get one measurement please?

I need some more info. Are you recording data for post processing?

hi! if i'm going to store data on the gs sensor, do i still need to create a job for that? i'm setting it up to store data upon booting up.
@emanuelmontoya37592 жыл бұрын
If I’m not mistaken, check the sensor in battery compartment for an SD card, if one is installed in it. The Static will save to that card automatically, it doesn’t save to the collector/controller.

@@emanuelmontoya3759 so there's no need for a job, right? i'll be doing static on two control points. do i need to do base setup on one of the gs sensors or should i just set them up independently?
@surveyorpop2 жыл бұрын
@@vandriette3967 You don't have to create a job. If you have a GS14, GS15, or GS16 you will need a memory card in the antenna. If you have a GS18 you can store data to either the sensor internal memory or to an SD card. If you store to the internal memory you will need a GEV234 cable to download.

When exporting jobs as a dxf they keep coming up as a block in autocad, what settings do I need to change so the job doesn’t come up as a block?
@surveyorpop5 жыл бұрын
I have looked at the different settings in Captivate and exported several files. I am not seeing this issue. Are you using Autocad to open the DXF file direct or are you inserting it?
@daveybjr5 жыл бұрын
I am opening the dxf file from the location on my hard drive. Which In turn opens up autocad. I am very new to all of this so it has been quite the learning curve. I am surveying auto points for an open pit mine and if I don’t explode the points when I bring them into the tin the elevations don’t come through when I triangulate and contour the tin.
@surveyorpop5 жыл бұрын
Assuming that you are using the DXF to get line work from Captivate to AutoCAD I would turn off the Point Export in the Captivate DXF settings and import the points into AutoCAD using an ASCII point importer. The software you are using to generate your TIN should recognize these survey points. A word of caution, the significant digits used to generate and export / import the DXF typically don't match the imported ASCII points. This can cause an issue when the TiN is generated because the points that are supposed to be at the vertices of the linework will be slightly off (by the difference in the significant digits). This may cause small crossing breaklines which can cause the TIN generation to fail. If you have an alternative to get the points and linework from the field into Cad I would try that instead of the DXF method.

@@surveyorpop Dear Sir i want to know how to Calculate Area in GPS... & 1 more thing, some time we start topo or layout some points we need to put or take very close the Tree or houses... That time signal out... Is it possible to continue our job and our GPS can't disconnected...
@surveyorpop2 жыл бұрын
@@hassam2310 GPS is dependent on site conditions. There may be some locations, especially on the north side of structures where measurement may not be possible. I will look into doing a video that shows how to calculate areas in Leica Captivate. However, if you access the view and edit tab and select the option to view lines, any closed line with have an area automatically calculated.
