A long, long, long, time ago....my grandfather told me that there is no feeling like making "something" from what many consider "nothing"..... 🤔 That message came from a man who raised his family during the "Great Depression".... Had so many home made things.. it was amazing. This video reminds me of him... something from almost nothing... 😃😃 Thanks for today's smile... Best Wishes! 😉

A great little project that renders something quite useful from something that otherwise would be discarded. I could use making a couple of these myself. I also think my youth group may enjoy this project. I really appreciate all you share my friend! That clip at the beginning 0:42 (looks to filmed with a drone) was absolutely beautiful! God bless you Lonnie and Connie.
@Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival5 жыл бұрын
A lot of people apparently use used up debit or gift cards to place in between the two halves and by so doing, create a container with two halves. Handy for something like salt in one side and pepper in the other side. Yep it was a drone that recorded that video clip. Hopefully I will get better with teh drone and videoing with it over time.

Great idea. To make Super Glue cure instantly sprinkle sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) on both sides of the glued seam. It hardens instantly.
@Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival5 жыл бұрын
Yes I have been using the baking soda trick since back in 2000. I use to use that trick to build up nicks and dings in my composite propeller on my ultralight aircraft. I would build up the dings that way and then file them smooth with a file.

I just came back from Home Depot. Bought some carbon felt. Watched another of your vids yesterday. Guess what I am working on right at the moment....lol Since most people dont understand off grid living, they should know that as the old clichet goes. "nessessity is the mother of invention" that when you need something you make it out of what you have and learn to be creative while you do it! No five minute drive to a store like a 7-eleven. lol My nearest town is a hour drive away....on a clear day!
