Gates can be made in survival too(with pistons). But, to be honest, to make them, you need to learn piston mechanics and advanced electricity in SC2. BUT - YES, U CAN DO everything u've watched on these maps even in survival mode.

Andy Green you right. Actually you can make hidden houses with the piston mechanics and some circuitry, of course, at the beginning isn't too easy, but the practice makes the master.
