You won’t get better service for tipping after. No explanation as of why we tip when servers make minimum wage already? Aren’t they just doing their job?

Big scam. If I go into restaurant order meal for my family. Bill is $100, they expect a $20 tip as normal. If J am hungry and fancy a steak and a bottle of wine, and my bill is $200, my waiter expects $40, yet I get the exact same service. Why should I pay more just because of what I ordered? It is a joke. Then most hand over the payment device and some are already selected at tipping stage starting at 18% . Big scam. Remember always tipping is of the sub total only not the taxes. But devices are designed to to tip the total unless you change it to money tip instead of %. Beware this scam.

I'm Canadian, and I believe tip should be given on a voluntary basis, especially since tipped employees are paid a decent minimum wage in Canada (unlike ~40 states in the USA). Tip shouldn't be expected. Tipping culture should be like in Europe where it's totally unexpected and on a voluntary basis only, or like in Asia where it's non-existent.

lol the nerve! 10% for poor service? This is an extortion attempt. Poor service = 0%. Good service should be something between 5 and 10%.
