So I stuck with my original journey following your tips. I stabilised my situation on the radioactive planet. I had a couple of exploration expeditions and found a massive cave system full of cobalt. I sold about 3000 cobalt for like a quarter million. I stopped because I got bored harvesting the cobalt. Made a hyperdrive, Traveled to the next system with a space station that looks like the one you found. I did a planet scan and I also found a blue paradise planet close by. Glad I didn't restart my game.

My home system had a beautiful Paradise planet with towering trees, cyan grass, orange and purple bushes and lots of animal life. The oceans are a deep blue with black sand or rock. I am building my base on the coast next to a forest and overlooking a bay. I am loving the world gen update.

@@SurvivalBobGaming It is worth it. But yeah, it requires a lot of editing and render time. But the end result is better in the end.. I also follow retromation and wonderbot, but they don’t edit, and as result I almost never watch them till the end because they are so long.

You may not be into doing the missions, but they can actually have some good rewards now. I play a lot of no buy/no sell challenge runs and those missions become essential. Sometimes they even reward the S-class engine module for ship construction.

There are two multitool cases in the station now. The one you saw and one on the other side of that same kiosk. I've also noticed since Worlds update there seems to be less buried tech you can just collect without digging.

Unless they fixed it already, I noticed when restoring that it also restores the copper resource but doesn't deduct anything from your inventory. I was able to keep mining it and restoring it indefinetiely. I have never seen that before, last I played, restoring only restored the ground but not the resource.

First base i build on a what looked like safe radiation planet till daylight sudden turned into darkeness. Above my head was only wurm to see.. But i did well there. Now i am on safe nice planet and died there because some bipedal animal walked in the miningbeam and hit me once. This is really a very good game!

I recently picked this game back up. I remember being so confused back then and I am not joking when I say I spent TWO HOURS flying from one planet to another. I was so pissed that it took so long that I uninstalled as soon as I got to the planet because the planet didn’t even look cool lol. But recently when I got back on the game I realized you can like fast travel in a way using “pulse engines”? Anyways I’m 4 systems deep now and I have two S class fighter ships that look so sexy

So Bob I don't know what the button is on pc for this but on console you can push up on the d pad and it diverts power from balanced , to weapons then engines, then sheilds and back to balanced

I enjoyed this video. I have had this game for a long time but I never quite got the handle on it, and I play a lot of games, I get the whole farming and building, but somehow NMS always seems confusing to me (way too many different materials we need to gather to build other stuff) lol And like, I wanted to have a settlement and a base in the same planet, all organized, all good looking... But I can't do it... the settlement is so confusing... I don't even know what I need to build now... I guess I will try again soon.

The game always starts you in an undiscovered system, but i think sometimes it doesnt, so the map is ocassionaly confused .....not sure the mechanics of it but the issue you had with your discoveries tab not matching thebsustem has happened to me as well.

Bob's the best. If you have access to a glyph portal and are in search of some very nice habitable planets I will list a few here. The portals will get you into the right solar system, get into space and seach for my base names and it will take you to the right planet. Some of these might have two names because I don't remember which base I currently have uploaded on that planet. Early on I was unaware that you can only have one base visible to the public at a time per planet. Rip. Anyways here they are in the replies.

You can check the mission NPC's, some of the missions award reactors, up to and including the S-class. If you are fortunate enough to get one of those mission it will be much quicker than farming, also allowing you to spend your nanites on other stuff.

Just small settlements. Players have build civilizations on planets but no procedural cities so far.

Also when I fill up with fuel from asteroids I still run out of fuel and end up dead in space no where near the destination on that mission.

You still have to add the fuel manually, it does not auto fill.

@wolfen210959 I figured out what I was doing wrong. It says that the ship auto pilots to the destination. I assumed that the destination was set into some computer. Nope I still gotta point at it. Ugh.
