Love my BUCK 110. Carried it everywhere I went when I was in the US Army. And put it through more use and abuse than you could possibly imagine. And it still keeps going. In my humble opinion, the BUCK 110 and 119 are two of the best knives ever made.

Yeah my dad was a career soldier in the US Army I remember that you could buy the 110 or 112 at the p.x. (aafes) for dirt cheap think the 110 was 35 bucks and you saw a lot of soldiers carrying that blade the 110 was a tactical knife long before the term became popular.

About twenty years ago, an older guy gave me a Buck 112 that he’d had since the 70’s, in exchange for a penny. Old wives tale that when gift a knife, you have to receive something ( anything) from the other party. It’s still in perfect shape and still have original sheath which is made of leather, almost double the thinness of new ones.

Bayou Flats, I have a Buck 112 that I have had since 1976 while serving in the USN. It served with me until I retired in 1993. Still have it to this day. Have it since I gave my Dad my Puma Game warden. Still have that as well.

Heard from a French guy that giving any knife as a gift is a threat or putting ill will towards the recipient. So usually they'll give them something back, even if it's a penny.

Bryan, I still have my Buck 110 that my grandad ( Gander) gave me when I was 6 years old. Cool thing, I sent it off to Buck Knives, because the blade had been worn from years of use. They replaced the blade, and polished the brass without messing up where Gander had scribed our names on it. Buck's customer service is top knotch !

In 1979 I purchased a Buck 110 the week I joined the Armed Forces in Canada. It sat on my hip through all my basic training, exercises, right through all my deployments in Germany, Yugoslavia, the middle east, and several other places on this planet for the next 20 years. I still have it today, and it is as good as the day I bought it. It cut ropes, tarps, cloth, wood, and it even cut my field rations open countless times. Best knife I have ever owned. I still wear it today.

My first knife was a Buck 110. I carried and used it my four years as a fireman in the Air Force. Later as a civilian firefighter it was run over by a ladder truck and ruined it. Years later I acquired a used 110 that was sharpened down to half the blade’s width. I sent it in to Buck back in February to reblade it for $10.00. I just got it back today and it looks like new. Another reliable company that backs their products. 🇺🇸

My first experience with this knife was when I was a kid watching dukes of hazard (original programming, not reruns) so I guess I just dated myself. Bo and Luke carried this knife. I eventually bought one in the late 80s. I also bought the smaller version and have both to this day. They have been relegated to the collectors box so they don't see use anymore.

I remember I couldn't wait to buy one of these when I was 16 back in 1980. Almost everybody I knew had one of these on their belt in the leather sheath they came with. I loved it until it got dull and came time to sharpen the damn thing. Everybody used Arkansas stones back then and you could grind on it for hours and just wear your stones out. This was the knife that made me think Stainless Steel was the best thing since sliced bread and it's also the knife that made me hate Stainless Steel. I heard that they had to soften their steel because it was difficult to sharpen. I'm not saying you couldn't get it sharp, but boy did you have to work at it to get it sharpened.

A true classic. When I was a youngster I wanted a Buck 110 so bad, but I had to save up for it. When I finally got it, I felt like I had won the lottery. Today, it is an under-appreciated design and probably comes across as boring to knife enthusiasts. But I have fond memories of it.

I'm very new to knives and collecting a few I deem special. Buck knives is a name I've heard all my life ( I am 41 years old) my grandfather left me all his " treasures " from his top dresser drawer. My grandmother called junk. In their were many pocket knives. A 112 I believe and a toothpick. I'd like to buy a 110 and start my own collection.

I bought a Buck 110 from Cabela's alongside my Kershaw Barricade for work. I have relegated the barricade for emergencies and kept in my car. The Buck 110 since seeing you slicing and chopping wood proves that the blade will hold up far longer than the barricade that has an 8Cr13MOV blade.

I worked for "Northwest Mosquito Abatement District" in Wheeling, IL. One thing you can do to cut down mosquito activity on your own property is to do a search for "holes." The female mosquito is the only one that bites you, because she uses the protein in your blood to form her eggs. Her eggs are laid on or near water. When the eggs hatch and the larvae appear, they look like "Sea Monkeys" swimming in the water.

As a S African I bought one on a special offer at the SCI show in Reno 2013 and was really chuffed. We thereafter went to NY for a couple of days and I wanted to visit the 9/11 memorial. Having no gun safe in the room in a really crappy hotel I kept the knife in my backpack. When I declared I had a knife in my pack I was nearly arrested and the knife was confiscated. My wife and I finished the visit, but the incident had destroyed the reverence of the visit which was really a great pity. I would not leave without the Buck knife, waited about an hour before they returned my knife, someone must have badly wanted it. It resides in my safe now, constantly admired and looked after (as all my other Buck knives). To date I have never started any war but will never visit NY again.

Buck say it’s the most copied knife in the world and there’s good reason for that, it’s built to work hard & to last plus if you say “pocket knife” this is what the majority of non knife people will think of. Great video, thanks.

Nice knife, that was a first knife for me in 1968... Buck 110... Concerning the Ferro Rod use: It works best if you lock your knife arm and pull the Ferro Rod BACKWARDS ... Moving the Rod and not your knife. Doing it in this way, you are able to put a little more pressure on your Ferro Rod causing better sparks.

i was reading a novel I can't remember the name of it and the main character had this knife. He used it all through the story. I was so impressed just by the story that I wanted one. I got it on Amazon but it was too stiff for me to open so I returned it.

On the farm back in the 60's I had a BARLOW KNIFE. Much later wayyy back I bought this BUCK....It was super razor sharp then. I did everything with it, and it's ground down to a nub now.

I have a Buck Fillet knife I've had for 40 years and that's the last of the good knives they made. I bought a Buck pocket knife a few years back and I gave it away becaus the blade was garbage.

Had the 110 since a boy, can't tell you how many deer I gutted with it over the years. I lost it a couple of years ago through a move, so, I bought a new one, so far, so good: came razor sharp and pretty good holster, all though I don't think it is as good as my original one.

Buck 110 - the next best thing to a fixed blade. I have two, a standard one like yours and one with G10 scales and a 5160 spring steel drop point blade. I carry the G10 one any time I'm out in the woods.

It’s kind of funny to read some comments… They sound like me… I have carried a Buck on my hip since I was about 13… I am turning 56… Paper route, had to open bundles… Even wore it at school… I have gone through several 110’s…. People like to steal them… Buck has replaced my blades 3 times… No charge… I just wore them out!!! There are other very good makers out there but BUCK is the best!!!!

I still have the Buck 110 I bought when I was in the FFA in highschool in 1983. I have never broken it, but it is noticeably shorter because it has been sharpened a hell of a lot of times. it is an outstanding knife.

Bucks are really exemplary. The best thing is that now buck has finally offered them in different blade steels.
