I respect Vanripper fighting against the desire to put everyone in suits, even as I agree it's an amazing choice, for the sake of some variety. The ghosts and tunnel runners all look great, their art continues to impress me. Same goes for Manly's skills, I can't imagine how long I'd take to beat Hard Mode given my skills with bullet hells. Whatever Vanripper does next, I'll be there for it. On the off-chance they see this comment, I do want to mention I agree with Manly: those noir designs are excellent, and I would love to see them again.

The hard mode is not that bad. You don't need skills with bullet hell games, just some good reflexes in general or at least learning the moves and playing it safe rather than rushing it. The whole game on hard difficulty can be done in under 4 hours.

I love the attention to detail with how every character, or mixture thereof, had different start animation and a different death animation. Also I do agree that releasing this game as a whole package is better than piecemeal especially with how the gameplay itself kinda relies on momentum. A couple lore points as well, specifically to that one point about how only obnoxious people come back as ghosts. Imagine if that was a well known factor in their world. Now imagine Ula hearing about the death of your friend in the maintenance tunnels and volunteering for the job, having complete confidence that Zmora was gonna come back as a ghost because she knows first hand how obnoxious she was lol. Man I love games that have basic 2d movement for most of the game, then introduce a dash mechanic near the end that makes you feel like an untouchable god.

i kinda like how the dev basically uses their art and knowledge of game development to sell us their recipies for simple bakery goods with apparently otherworldly good taste since they are proven to be utilized to seduce angels demons and now also ghosts also in case another best girl voting comes up as it did happen with helltaker designwise i liked the cutwires the most but personalitywise yaga was just funny with just how sick and annoyed of the daily routine she seems ^-^

The creator has got a talent for making regular words in Polish sound like cute anime girl names: Usterka, Ula, Awaria, Zmora. Same thing was in Helltaker. Also I remembered that denaturate is like an alcohol based anti-septic solution which apparently had to be painted purple in Slavic countries cause people would mistake them for spirit. I wonder if that was the reason they're ghosts (spirits). Similarly, the pudding cakes are a popular bakery item in a lot of countries in Central, Southern and Eastern Europe. Awesome.

In case you were wondering what the many Polish words and references mean in their names and on some items: Awaria -> Malfunction Ula Usterka -> Ula is a polish name, Usterka means "Flaw/Fault" like in an "Engine Failure" type of way. 'Yaga' Jagoda Jęczyduch -> Her name literally translates to "Berry Ghostwail", although "Jagoda" is just a name in Poland. Zofia Zmora -> Zmora means something between "nightmare" and "bane". Zofia is just a name in Poland. Nikita Naprava -> Naprava is from the word "Naprawa" and means "Repair" Sylvia Striga (Strzyga) -> 'Strzyga' is basically a female Vampire from Polish folklore. But think more of a monster than the sparkling, sexy vampires you know from movies. Denaturat -> It's basically "contaminated alcohol". It's used usually when you need to decontaminate something, dissolve paints, etc. Can be used as fuel. It's contaminated to allow selling it way cheaper since it "cannot be drank", however most alcoholics would purchase and drink it anyway - suffering horrible health problems and even dying from it. It is NOT meant for consumption and was highly toxic. Nowadays cause you cannot stop alcoholics from drinking this, they stopped adding extremely deadly contaminates, but it's NOT something you should drink. Ever.

I feel as though the dev felt a bit unsatisfied about the effort he has put in the game. Like pointing out things he had issues with himself but while playing the game myself I didnt have any problems with most of the design choices. I really liked this game too. I hope he has been getting tons of support recently for a great job he has done.
