When you are chasing Sooties next time. If you find a fig tree hanging over the bank, use a lure with a bitta red in it. I like the old Chrome/Red Rattlin Spot. Or a 2/0 hook and a fig. Then don't gut it as it'll be full of figs and cook it in paperbark like that barra. It will deadset be the sweetest freshwater fish you've even eaten! My mates grandfather was taught this from an old Juru mob bloke from the Burdekin back in the 50's.
