I never used a crimping iron. I just braided my hair when it was wet and let it dry like that. No heat damage. 🙂

omg totally loving the 80s stuff. I had the exact same shirt, wore it the same way, had the same hair band (those were awesome!!) & of course we crimped our hair. Of course eventually that changed to ironing our hair with a real iron while lying on a towel & hoping our hair didn't fall out haha Lola totally rocked the look!

I just donated an original 1980’s crimping iron along with colorful plastic barrettes and banana clips. I kept the Aqua Net for our potato launcher. That stuff is so highly flammable it shoots our potatoes really far! 🤣😂🤣 Looking rad Lola!

I grew up in the 80s and remember everything mentioned in the video except for the jeans. I had crimped hair for a time, and I still have my crimping iron somewhere in the house, but I have no idea if it still works! I also remember wearing slouch socks, scrunchies, leg warmers over jeans, and long shirts worn over stirrup pants!
