GameEdged would die in the woods irl after just a day! He's so blind for details that he actually would walk over a cliff a sunny and clear day or die of terminal dehydration because he keep looking for that damned river he keeps criss crossing. Quite infuriating gameplay if you'll admit it to yourselves. I have pointed it out for him for years, but I don't think he's able to see any negative, but constructive, comments either.

@@ShadowKrutshov Dude is a compulsive packratter - I've lost count of how many times his characters have died because he can't stop picking up every single rock or stick around. "...I should really build the water collector. Nah, I'm going to gather three hundred more stones and pieces of metal first." Cue MC dying of thirst. Sad thing is, he's not the only one - there are legions of YT players that literally ignore details that are so visible that they might just as well be printed on a billboard a mile wide. "I have to build the home? How am I supposed to do it? There are no other menus!" (while two "scroll" buttons are visible at the top of the screen). Stuff like that. Oh well, he's still acceptable - the worst reaction he got from me was "stop faffing around already, you crazy packratter!"... not as bad as the loud "MOTHERF..." another player got from me once. How? Well, he kept going back and forth looking for the HIGHLY VISIBLE piece of machinery he needed. For TEN. FREAKING. MINUTES.

​@@alarkhar Yup! I really dunno why so many "gamers", yeah I call the that, because it seem like they are more concerned with viewership and algorithms, than play and enjoy the actual game. They rush through games like there's no tomorrow because they have "SO MANY FRICKING games to play" to continue their endless boring series and then wonder why their channel numbers and statistics only slowly grows. I've watched GameEdged since he started in 2014 (2015 Stranded Deep) and it was a joy to watch him play survival/building games then, not so much today. It's like you say; he's more busy with collecting sticks and stones and then ends up breaking his bones and die. LOL I honestly believe he would have had more that 500 subscribers by now, if he just took his time to read menus, tabs and scrolling downwards, so he could understand what the games had to offer, just like in this game, where he didn't even see that he could craft an torch but instead made a flare instead. That kind of "blindness" blows my mind. I wish he could take these comments to his heart and look over our harsh and negative words, and try to see what he's doing wrong, regarding his gameplay, because I'll admit it, from the bottom of my heart; I would love to see his subscription numbers reach millions, if he changes to his old gameplay. Right GameEdge? LOL

Its Genius Really. On that note, the game seems intresting, but being on a count-down timer constantly? I prefer to avoid games with background timers clicking down until game over.

There're breakthroughs for structures to survive cataclysmic-winds: one is a top-down-mesh of cables staked to the ground, every wire adds mechanical-traction to keep roofs-intact & walls in-place; hundreds of wires tie down a structure to anchor-points in the ground. In the end that unique webbing is obvious but not-displeasing, just quite different from traditional standards.

Flashlight was in the crafting menu next to the ax. I love your videos and I follow several of your survival series games, but I notice you easily overlook crafting recipes pretty often because you get in a bit of a hurry. Keep on keepin on brother.

That's the one thing I'd never seen in a game, Afterlife mod for 7 days to die lets you face up while it's raining and ease your thirst. Ya know like NORMAL people would.

ohhh that house is the exact layout and design in the Ranch Simulator game! This game seam's very much like The Long Dark only with a Cat 6 Hurricane instead of a frozen apocalypse. Thank you for showing this! I laughed so hard and think I may try the demo myself! lol

While underwater at time index 32.19 there is a door leading into another room which can be opened or broken down. Also not sure if one can use the axe to brake that fallen book shelf or door. however knowing the devs humor, said door probably opens inward into the room. Since it is blocked coming towards you because of said fallen book shelf. Well I will like it as think it would be good to see more, however would like the developer to know they should work on the tutorial to help players. As currently one is at a loss at times of what to do.

Katrina was a Cat5 hurricane. Honestly if the levy’s had better engineering and hadn’t failed i don’t believe the damage or death toll would have been nearly as high as it was. Many of the people who died either outright refused to evacuate or were unable to evacuate. If you know a serious storm is coming just get out.

A pyramid would be utterly-unaltered by a cat-6: contemporary homes could survive behind earthen-ramps up every-side of a building; practicality in burying homes for protection is sound; rammed-earth construction free-stands & self-supports, it wouldn't compress or lean-itself against a home. Creating a sloped adobe-sheath over residences would scour soil into low-points, which act to channel flood-waters around the estate, not through: geometrically, winds couldn't pry off the roof; otherwise build from steel, aluminum, clay & cement.

Game looks like fun. I think the developer needs to learn more about hurricanes since a cat 3 has less total energy than a 5. Cat 4/5 is mandatory evac territory, and the waffle house shuts down. Category 3 not so much.

Skunks are freaking bad ass! Lets face it how many animals of their size will stand up to a human, stamp their feet and then turn their asses towards a predator. They will bluff till they cant bluff any more then they will unleash the unholy arse goo that with the right conditions can actually kill. In confined spaces skunk spray can cause a systemic reaction that can lead to sudden death.

First and foremost GE really like watching your showcases of these games, however it would be nice if you could let us know if one change the defaulted key binds. As W.A.S.D. suck for those individuals that are unable to utilize those keys. I love playing games but have to set things up on my keyboard do to an injury. The voice acting is god awful and so robotic. I don't know why devs think this type of dialogue sounds good. I know it's a WIP, but if you can't make the dialogue sound good, just don't put it in there.

Hey, I am the game developer for Category 6, I agree the voice acting is rough. I am a solo dev so I don't have a budget for good voice acting. Do think the game would be best if I took out the voice acting all together and just left it as text only? It would save me a lot of work on the rest of the game. Thanks for your feedback.

​@@craftygamelab1731Hi, first of all congrats on making this game, it looks cool the bad part is the dialogues: they are flat and synthetic, they sound a bit unnatural like the kid gives his dad a mature advice and he replies "I'm though, I'll be fine". the kid sounds more mature than the dad also in the bed scene you can hear GE say "who the hell says that", because the dialogue is a bit unrealistic and the husband replies cold and synthetic like he's angry at her "we are just going to sleep, right?!" .. man, what did she do to him to piss him off like that 😂 imho for now I'd remove the voices and leave the strings only and work more on the conversation itself to make it more realistic the voice in game is ok, like "I'm thirsty" etc

I get what you mean, but sarcasm requires good timing and the way you say things too example: if the wife is half naked and he says "at least you'll remove your shoes from the bed", it sounds like she made him angry with her actions if he says something like "alright, I get the message. now could you please remove those boots off the bed? they are in our way" and the tone is relaxed and "joking", it's easier to understand he meant it as sarcasm also about that scene, I don't know if GE didn't pay much attention to the rooms and maybe there were hints around, but it'd be nice if someone could answer the questions knowing them. For example you see a picture on the fridge with both of them kissing and the place in the background or a calendar with a date circled, etc again maybe this stuff was there, but if the player can interact and comment, like "our first kiss, how can I forget, we were in this place doing that. what a night to remember!" that becomes part of the story and if the player pays attention he can answer correctly, and get the rewards ;) right now it's more like a russian roulette. you pick the most strange answer, hoping the right one wasn't the most trivial I hope these feedbacks will help you! keep up the good work 💪

@@craftygamelab1731 hey. first of all, thx for not getting offended by my remarks. This is just my opinion, but I think the jokes are not landing. It's not like you made a postal like game and the bizarre jokes, inserted in that world make sense. In this case it just sounds bizarre. I don't think it should be your focus, but if I was you, I would rewrite the dialogues/scene for the full release. Also it's not just the dialogue itself. I understand you are trying to pass on the idea that the main character is imprudent, but I think you forced it too much. The guy comes off as an absolute jackass. This is just my opinion. It definitely is remarkable, but for the wrong reasons I think. If you don't want to put in all this work and have people remembering your game for that first bizarre sequence and weird dialogues, i would change the tone and make it more serious and straight forward. Either that or find a comedian that can help you make it funny but not bizarre. Good work, and good luck mate. I like the concept.

For negative buffs,make your character act on it . Nit just once but continuosly. Fir ex is migraine is not traeted in a short time ,make character say ahh my head.migraine is killing me..or something on the lines same fir any negative buff every some amount of time. Make more interactive items . You are in ur house ,you should be able to interact with a lot of items like bed , fireplace, table ,etc... unlike in zombie apocalypse etc... Scenario. No need to always have a simple open ranch like house . U can make it a little fortified looking . Dialogues is weird but it makes it more unique so it's good. Please make better transitions . Make more food options. Not always packaged food or staright from wild. It's a house they would have some better food . And yeah .
