Chester was like "NO Mommy got hurt" what a beautiful companion. I truly believe that taking a dog along is a good thing. Dogs can sense danger better than humans can. I guarruntee that Chester will be the first to alert his mom and dad when danger approaches. Going out there in the middle of nowhere you never know what could happen. I sincerely hope that you don't go out without protection if you know what I mean.

There's a lot of great videos on YT with helpful lessons on improving your knife skills. Curling your finger tips in and using a sharp knife will help mitigate the risk of having a deep lacerations while camping and far away from help. Stay safe out there... and warm.

Gave me some flashbacks to the early 90s being in the field in GP Small tents in sub-zero, snow-covered weather with Yukon stoves blazing in the Army. Not quite the same as winter camping for pleasure. But it still had its pleasures. On the border in Texas, it just ain't the same, but late fall and winter is the only time we'll camp.

One of my favorite camping trips was in February and it got down to 1 degree F. We cut and split firewood to restock our camp woodpile. Ate a nice steak and then played cards and drank $200 a bottle scotch instead of cheap bourbon or beer.

Seems like the experience went pretty well with that new tent! Loved watching you both....glad Joelle missed with the knife. I was thinking while watching you cook inside the tent, I wonder if the whole tent ends up smelling like the cooking. About two seconds later, Joelle says the tent smells like sausage-LOL. Anyway, thanks for the escape-been a follower for some time and love your content.

Also yeast infection in the nasal sinuses can cause these symptoms. Get yourself some probiotics for your gut. Also if it continues do a yeast cleanse (you can find at any health store) reduce sugars and eat more veggies that help good bacteria grow. 😊

Do you really get 4-6 hours of real heat out of your Kni-co? I must be doing something wrong with my equivalent size cylinder stove.

It’s actually an esker, but yea usually 4-6 hours until until the cold wakes us up!
@brianh11612 жыл бұрын
@@AdamStewThanks. I get about 2.5-3 as far as reasonable room temp goes in a similar sized tent. I’ll have to do some experimenting. Maybe structure the fire differently.
