This tells you that people are STARVED to reconnect with nature, and to exercise their innate instincts to be self-reliant in a survivalist manner. We are HUNGRY to balance out our comfortable screen-based existence. More people need to just do this sort of thing.

We aren’t. No one does it. Summer camping is insanely saturated. Winter camping is something people think they want to do but no one does it. I never have a problem with a good camp site in fall or winter. Always open.

Been there, Any flat roofed tent won't thake the weight of the snow. Went to sleep more than once with rain a woke to several inches snow . Tent was slanted and didn't colapse. But early fall, trees still were green and the forest sounded like a battlefield , branches breaking with the snow load
