@@SH3Bstanko6 Worst thing about that kind of situations is that you can't just save&quit and then come back later. You have to endure the whole encounter without turning the game off and taking a break to play something else. Alt+Tab is also risky, because Sh3 is old and likes to crash.

I wanted to add I had someone stated that destroyers always hear your sub no matter how fast or slow you are going. Whether you are heard or not can be debated, but hitting flank and then cutting motors can conserve a lot of battery power for long depth chargings. Good luck!

What if he's not pinging me? Most common encounter I have with depth charges are ASW Trawlers which magically find out where I am. Im talking shit like... Im running at 1kt at around 20m depth, with the closest enemy being some 8km away. So I'm just going my way, uber silent, and suddenly the dude turns on his spotlight and starts hauling ass in my direction. So I dive to like 40+ meters, but nope... whenever I evade the depth charges he will automatically know exactly where I am, and go in circles following my path. I've managed to evade destroyers no problem, but ASW Trawlers seem to be way more effective.

cobalT as I mention in my video, once the torpedo is on its way, you have to get out of the area. If you are surfaced at night, then flank speed out of there, if submerged, get deep and if the destroyers are far away, get some speed and get out of there! If he is not pinging you, he is listening to you. Also, calm seas make it easier for them to hear or ping you. Hope it helps.

cobalT also to add, if the trawler is on you and you are only 20-40 meters deep, you were not evading. You have to get deep fast, and get distance fast.

SH3 Bstanko6 Well the thing is... I can't. I'm at 40m and depth under keel is 10m, so I cant get any lower without the risk of hitting the bottom if a depth charge shakes my sub a bit. Also, I was never surfaced in the first place, he just randomly decided that he wants to follow my exact path and drop charges. And changing path doesn't help, since they just keep following me. Atm I have 3 trawlers hunting me

so when hunting in shallow waters, you are taking a huge risk because of what you just said. You as well as real commanders had to decide if it was a risk worth taking. I would stalk until you reach deeper waters. They can see your periscope too, so you have to use scope discipline... using it sparingly. for example, pop up out of water for no more than 30 seconds, then bring it back down for 3 minutes. THEY CAN SEE YOUR SCOPE! it is modeled in the game.

Hi m8! I'm playing SH4 with U-boot dlc and im a newbie and i can't run away from a single DD. Tell me are those special tings like decoys or silent mode really usefull? Also is it worth upgrading ur ship with some more stealth things?

Hello!! I've try to install the Ahnenerbe mod but I the game doesn't start. I searched an it seems that there is a problem with windows 10 and any widescreen mod... Is there a way to install it on W10? If it isn't... there is an alternative mod for having a similar GUI (not widescreen)?

gabmol27 As far as GWX, it’s a great all around mod... but CTDs are horrible along with corrupted saves. Just my opinion. LSH is eye candy, but too easy opponents. I found NYGM perfect for me. It focuses on the fight not the looks.

Alternatif Diyarlar when the war first broke out they carried maybe 20. But quickly realized they needed to keep the Uboat down a long time for the convoy to escape. Adding bigger racks!
