Surviving Hardcore RLCraft Ep 12 - Don't bring a Rapier Here

To make the game more balanced I removed my resistance rings, now with just myrmex armor protecting me I should be relatively fine.. at least I thought
My main weapon, a lightly enchanted diamond rapier, was about to break and going with the myrmex style I thought it would be a good idea to build a myrmex stinger rapier as a substitute..boy was I wrong, especially considering the dungeon I ended up facing
The rapier was so weak that my paxel ended up dealing more damage and on top to that it also has a shockwave so it ended up becoming my main weapon for almost the entirety of that dungeon.

Keep explore the mega tower, there's a chance that u can find ghast tear, i found a bunch of them. I usually come up with the Brutality enchant to deal extra damage on armoured mobs since rune piercing armour is pretty hard to find. And i also put Ash destroyer on my rapier too, to deal extra damage on burning enemies

Oh don't worry about it, I was using the paxel because I was too lazy to go back and build a weapon besides a rapier or saber (I don't have any armor-piercing enchants) I might even simply find a vespid stinger and do it all with a lycanites weapon since the sylph shockwave proves very effective in cramped-up places. I haven't looted a single chest yet, I pretty much only placed the mob drops in them so that they don't despawn, I'll definitely come back to it once I have a dragon eye or any other form of fire resistance.

Yeah to say the Mega Battletower is absolute AIDS would be an understatement. This place taught me to one: always bring a water bucket, two: bring building blocks, and three: bring food. This place just might be worse than the Doomlike dungeons if you have to fight through an army for a Fairy ring. But yeah, really enjoy the action.

I'm a big shield enthusiast, I'm aware of the advantages in dual-wielding but even in late-game I (for some reason) keep using the shield

Can I ask how you have life steal on your paxel? Also can you explain how you don’t take much damage in the mega battle tower with myrmex armour ? I run through a normal battle tower with full diamond and I just barely scrape by haha

The Darkling head gives the paxel a lifesteal effect. I don't have resistance rings so there's not that much aside for the myrmex armor and maybe the shield that protects me It's likely that the paxel's "shockwave" attack somewhat incapacitates mobs making me take fewer hits overall -I'm just dodging all the mobs and arrows with my mad skillz-

I know, I'm purposely doing dungeons "properly" and using the intended entrances, half of the dungeon's challenge, if not more, is having mobs jump on you from the floors above

I kinda feel your paxel is too powerful, and a lack of resistance ring is kinda hard, os maybe resistance and regen. Cause regen 1 isn't that powerful, and if you think that resist 1 is still too much, speed 1 as well with rhe regen. As for weapon, you should be alble to get teh diamonds through smelting gear and tehn add adv mending, how did you get those enchants btw for your armour. I think however, overall, with your current gear, your diamond rapier and regen + speed, you should be decked out enough to take on asaku, and then maybe later get a dragon's eye but refuse to use night vision perhaps

Night vision is already disabled on my shaders so that part's not an issue, I'd like to use it for the blindness immunity though.. I basically just stand still and parry whenever that happens I agree with the paxel's lifesteal being OP but I was in a spot where the myrmex rapier was too weak (only did 3 damage) and I was too lazy to go back home to change equipment so I basically kept using the paxel Not sure about the rings, tbf only the fire arrows (fire damage) dealt substantial damage since they can't be parried so I wouldn't add a resistance ring. SPOILER I already killed Asakku basically took 0 damage since I used the technique I was talking about previously.. I wouldn't call it cheese since I was actively dodging the bullets (speed II coming in handy -- but it's doable even without it)

@@LordAngrim fair enough with the rings then, i guess a dragon's eye is a prioty. Those 4 tower dungeons have a ton of silver and glowing ingots in the top chests. Im pretty sure you only did the bottom few floors and teh basement soo..

@@raiden1425 I got the silver block and nuggets, that's where I found the 2 regen rings.. didn't find any glowing ingots though, not from chasts at least
